I wish to post with regards to the update or "nerf", as many players refer to it, involving the set-back of contribution points earned. Originally, you were able to get a large amount of contribution points even if you had reached the max exp. It is now much more difficult to get contribution points because they have been capped to 10 contribution points per event with the max exp able to be earned. This has greatly affected the progress of players, such as myself, in getting the rewards in a realistic amount of time.
You can either start off with these cap settings or not have Them at all. Changing it halfway round is generally a very bad idea. I have played for years and have almost all of the holiday rewards - almost all of the ones which came out when my account existed, that is - and they were pretty easy to get. These rewards, however, take a very long time to get.
With the spirit of the Olympics and Holiday Events - things that you are supposed to enjoy - this should not be occurring. To be quite honest, doing Resource Race after Resource Race or chasing a piece of cheese down a hill over and over again for but a pitiful amount of points is not very much fun. I would very much like to see this 'nerf' removed so that people can actually get the rewards in a relatively short space of time and so that the games become fun (and constructive), not tedious.
For everyone's sake Jagex, taking out this "nerf" seems to be the best thing to do.
Thanks,
Septimius
