ya!! 200,000,000 million players!!! to bad not even half of that actually plays, and after this, we can say good bye to all the f2p players
Atleast give something to f2p players like everything has been takin away from them, the SOF is already a big slap in the face to them because most items you win on it is members.
Im a member but im thinking about cancelling my membership before august 1 because this is no fair, what ever happened to the old runescape, how fun it use to be, getting your first bronze armor set and killing cows in lumbrige. those were the days...(when rune armor was something you dreamed of.)

You guys need to remember, a lot of people actually want the EoC to happen. The only people that don't are the people who just don't like change, or just like the simplicity of RuneScape as it is.
Also, it's a reward of 1m xp for two months. It's not that much considering that it's over the span of two months AND the fact that it's probably just going to be an xp doubling item, such as the Mad Necklace. I doubt Jagex would just toss out a huge xp lamp.
I still feel that the "Most Powerful Item" is a bit sketchy. Although they don't say it's a weapon, but an ITEM, power is usually associated with weaponry. But who knows. They'll give us more info soon enough.
Also, most of the people(most, not all!) probably don't feel the need to post here anyway, because they think it's a complaint forum.

Over the past year it seems that Jagex has been trying VERY hard to get new people into the game and get new members... with the refer a friend system, all the new bonuses for members, and even the loyalty program, which gives an extra boost to members who have been around longer.
I know it costs money to run a business, but they're trying rather hard to get more P2P players around here. Is the economic situation over there really that bad?

I like the idea of this... I prefer it over the bonus exp weekends since they would normally fall on weekends I was unable to play. As for the item... I don't really care since I don't know what it is.

They need to stop with all this extra experience crap. The game is becoming ridiculously easy. It used to mean something being 100 combat or having a 99 but now the game is flooded with untrimmed cooking, fletch, and firemaking capes. That coupled with the massive botting has made most accomplishments seem worthless. Is there really even a hard 99 anymore? Most of them can be bought now anyways. What happened to the challenge of skilling?
