After reading through a few pages, I'm starting to feel bad for the people posting. Honestly, you guys seem blind to what they're offering you. I understand that you see it as RWT, but think about it. Solomon's is completely cosmetic, so it's not going to affect anything but looking cool in the game.
I'm interested in the xp reward, but I'm hoping they're not just blunt lamps. I think it would be good if it was like the Mad Necklace for the year of May.
As for the "Choose Your Fate"...I'm a bit frightened when you say "most powerful weapons". I don't think you should give out an item that's totally over powered. Seems like it would affect the game greatly.
Also, for those people who think Jagex is all about RWT...It's not like that. People are getting angry at Solomon's General Store. As I said above, it's cosmetic. It's not harmfully game changing in any way.
However, I don't like the idea of buying spins. Seems dangerous as means of "buying xp"
That's my opinion on this update..and please, people. Give Jagex a break and try to look at the positive side of things. Most of you are being honest, others are just following the bandwagon.

I am really excited for this. The Mad May thing was nice, but the problem with that was the good items focused around spins. And with spins, there's only a CHANCE to get those items.
I didn't even get a monkey mace, only two monkies in barrels...

But back on topic, I, for one, want the Choose Your Fate weapons.
When you say "most powerful" please make it so.
Those chaotics are tearing PvP and PvM apart. O_o
No, but in all seriousness, 700k xp?!

Personally, I'd rather have you give us more RuneCoins. The 200 you gave us first off were nice, but we could use a few more, only being able to buy 1-2 things in there is sort of a let down.
Thanks JaGeX. This is the first time in a little while I've actually been 100% pleased with your effort.

Too bad I'm going to miss the Olympics and the Gielinor Games while on vacation... :(

EDIT: To all those F2P out there, the last time they updated F2P was with the removal of Romeo & Juliet. Not including SoF for you... ;) We all know it's crap for F2P...

Why is Jagex making updates with no new game content? This is a bait lure to keep people subbing despite beta sucking and a lot of doubt behind the live version's release (whether or not it will be horrible despite 'fixing' during beta). Not only that, but they remove BXPW and make small bonus xp rewards for those who keep subscribing.
********, I'll sub if this game is worth playing - not what xp rewards I might get.

Ok message to all the f2p players who are complaining,I know its harsh that members get almost every update and benefit but members ARE the reason you can even play the game,without members Jagex couldn't afford f2p so i think its decent of Jagex to give something back to members.

I'm a bit confused as to what the 1m bonus xp can be used on, only non combat skills I presume? I worked out that with the 1m xp I could boost my ranged to level 74 from level 50 granted that you can use the xp on combat. But that would leave me with the same constitution level which quite frankly would ***** up my account. So basically yeah, what can the xp be used on?? :)

Firstly I'm amazed at how many people lack basic reading skills, and all the crying and venting is not going to change anything, let's summarize it all shall we.
'through all of August and receive 350,000 XP (at the end of the month) and an extra bonus spin every day! Stay a member throughout September too and we'll double it! That's 700,000XP and 2 extra spins every day in September.'
So the long and short of it is this, as long as you are a member during the stated time, you shall get (based on staying a member throughout the whole period) : 1.05m xp and a total of 91 extra spins (at the end of it all, please note that the spins will be daily and the xp will be at the end of the month)
Now onto my theories for the rest of it.

This sounds like a nice gift, my guess is that it will arrive in the Solomon store very shortly after they have been given out to those eligible.
This next part is a double hitter, and has me worried slightly.

This to me shouts out like crazy, when a company uses the word 'chance' it should have you running for the hills, it's a very sly word and can have so many meanings.
'CHOOSE YOUR FATE is a selection of four of the most powerful items ever seen in RuneScape. More exciting details on this next week!'
Now most of you are jumping to conclusions that you shouldn't do, firstly note the use of the word 'ITEM' do you know how many singular type of items there are in RS? I very much doubt any of the 4 will be an offensive weapon, also 'powerful' can mean almost anything, as long as the advantage is greater than the previous best.
again please note that these are just theories.
