dude, u just said everything that was on my mind! Mods, making money, "luck drops", rs has changed so much and i have played for a long ass time. Making money and being able to enjoy it at the same time was great but now u have to spend hours just to make a buck in most peoples case. Its not all about the money though, its about enjoying the game constantly and its hard for most people cause in order to have fun u need money hahaha

I have to admit I was really excited about this milestone. So congratulations. But I can't tell you how disappointed I am in the rewards. The bow looks pretty cool and all, but no xp for killing the fool demon? Really, Jagex? Ridiculous looking glasses and a pretty bow is the best you can do for the 2 million of us who made this milestone possible? Sure, the majority of active accounts are bots or scammers, but the rest of us deserve something more than silly cosmetic items for helping you get into the Guiness World Book of Records.

Gratz to all of runescape :) . Epic milestone no matter how many are real players and how many are bots n trolls.
200mil is epic non the less :) .
I think the video says it all, Miss Liddles said it the best. Game came from nothing, and over 10 years later, its become a dynasty. No one gave this game a chance to make it this far. Other free MMO's lasted a year or 2 at max, but this one, lasted longer than all others.
Heck, we're in the GBOWR for crying out loud :p. You gotta be pretty dang amazing to get in that!
Gratz to Runescape, gratz to all the players, Keep up the good work :) . Here's to another 10 years :) .

It isn't 200m players. It's 200m accounts. Don't confuse the two.
There's people whom own a main, a skiller, a pure, a PKer. There's bots, there's dicers, there's gold farmers. All of which make accounts on RuneScape.
Then you've got the extreme like me that owns over 500 accounts, and ranked on 15 of them (until Jagex ended F2P scores starting 2010). Or people like the troll in my clan that made more accounts than we can ban (100+) and simply uses them to spam to no end.
Our player base truly is only about 100k-150k respectively if you check the main website page. It decreases as the day progresses.
