Hello, I used to play this game years ago on old school Rune Scape, I've now logged on to the new Rune Scape to see everything has changed, done some more research and found out you can play the old school Rune Scape which is amazing. When I logged on my account it started from the beginning tutorial, I changed worlds many times after completing and still nothing, which is strange because everything is there on my account on the new updated Rune Scape. This is very annoying as I don't like the new Rune Scape and can't understand whats happened to my account. Please any information is useful my knowledge is very small when it comes to the technical sides to this game so have I got to transfer my acc or something, please help. I don't understand why I have to start from the beginning with my account I put in so much time and effort with it back in the day and became a member at one stage so I don't want to lose all this stuff. Please someone get back to me asap. Thank you.

The new version of RuneScape (RS3) is the game you played all those years ago, that's why your stats and items remain in-place.

OldSchool RuneScape was released in 2013. It has been developed as a separate game, and as such, everyone starts over.

I used to play RuneScape in like 2007 times, 100% the new layout of RuneScape is nothing like it used to be, this makes no sense and is very unfair Jagex did this as I have to clearly start from the bottom again which is ridiculous

The game when you played it was known as RuneScape (2), not OldSchool. It has since been updated and has been given a variety of names RS3, EOC, RS - whatever. The point is that the game that you hardly recognise IS the game you played all those years ago. It has just been updated so much in terms of graphics, layout, and mechanics that you hardly recognise it. This is why your stats exist on RS3, because that's the game you played.

As I mentioned, the current 'OldSchool' version of the game was created in 2013. It has since been updated, and now exists as a completely different game in its own right. Most of the stuff in it wasn't even around in the era it's 'set' in. If you haven't ever logged into an "OldSchool RuneScape" server, you'll obviously have no progress stats-wise - because you've never played it before.

And you can't transfer anything over. You're not alone, the same goes for everyone.
