A person on Reddit pointed out it looks like an end tag.

Is the logo meant to represent a jagged X, to represent Jagex, as some are speculating?
What is the symbolism behind the logo, what is it meant to mean or represent if you break it down, if anything?
It kind of reminds me of beakers or potion flasks or water filled vials, as if it is something Scientific.
