great design, wrong color. Yellow is off-putting, a greenish blue would have more of a majestic/arcane feel.

The new logo is pretty awful. It has no character or imagination. The original 3d one is definitely weird but also really iconic. This new one just melts into the crowd, immemorable. Wonder what the designers thought a logo is supposed to do...
