I can see the concern from some people. I have been playing on and off since the beginning of classic (though that was another account). I may not have stayed loyal since 2012 but I do keep coming back. That is one reason why I grabbed premier. One, it is totally worth it. Two, I just happened to just come back.

As for the 3 days, I don't think you understand. Seeing as how this is a Live beta that means numbers won't be low because people wouldn't want to not progress. On top of that all the feedback. They had hotfixes for Invention the two days after release. That was after they did all their internal testing. With us testing for 3 days I'm sure they will have more than enough to work on fixes wise to get them ready for the next test.

Seeing as how the whole Engine has been completely rewritten more than that would probably flood them.
Things happen.

That being said. I look forward to finding what I can break ;)

They are look for those who have been active for a long time consecutively or plan on playing a lot. You can have an account for 10 years and have 1-2 year gaps.

I'm a first person shooter at heart, and to be honest I've always wanted more from RS.

I even left for 5 years from 2009 to 2014. I never kept track with the progression of the game, and got an add on FB that said you could buy membership with gp, I logged back in.
It was odd, there was the addition of POP, and a new skill (Divination) that happened to be afkable so I did that and read up on EOC.

I like RS 3 a hell of a lot more than 07, with the addition of NEXT and being able to use my First Person Shooter modern PC and graphics card to smooth out RS gameplay.


I don't want to lag anymore, no matter what (unless I lose IP) and even more than anything else, I want ALL my clicks to matter, visuals be what they may, for each machine.

I want it similar to all of the other platforms no matter how simple or complicated, from a DS, Xbox, Atari 2600, to anything on STEAM.

Since I've been back I've been a gold subscriber and have liked every update, but the ability to try NxT early is worth every gp.

I hope it does what I think it does, and I hope you are shooting for a stand alone client on multiple platforms (Java is dead).

All that said, no matter what, the *crowd* that is not like me and loves RS because they have old pc's and because they liked the simplistic style of even RS classic. D &Ders, make believers, I don't want to leave them behind because those weirdos are what makes this game so unique.

I'm right there with you. I'm also an FPS'er. And I've been off and on with RS for a while recently. I really love the gameplay of it but the graphics have always been lacking.

I know a lot of people will say graphics don't make a great game, but I think is RS3's situation, its what is keeping it from being a much better game. Graphics may not make a great game, but they do mean a lot towards immersion, which is something I really value when I play a game. I know NXT still won't be up to par with todays current games, but moving away from Java, to hopefully a stand alone client is a step in the right direction.

Sadly I won't be testing due to my mentioned breaks, but hope those who do are able to give some good feedback to speed up the release to the rest of us. Happy testing :)
