Yay, got my code/mail, gonna try the outfit on in game in a sec.
I thought I'd nip back in to post some things that might help those still waiting, as I found there was a bit of confusion in my experience on finding the codes etc:
-Purchase the game on steam, the outfit promo is
still available until the 10th May
. You have 2 days left upon writing of this message to try for it.
- Once you first load the game up, it asks you for an email and a nickname.
Be sure to check the address you put in BEFORE continuing!
I messed up and put a completely incorrect email in initially, and nothing of course came of it.
- If you put in the wrong email,
you can change it
, by visiting the Block * Load official site, and click 'My Account' in the top right. Simply put in the correct email (again, double check) and make sure you
click to resend the validation email (IMPORTANT!)
.
- Before you get to change the email you put in, or check it if it was right/spelt correctly etc, you will need to log in using your Steam username and ********. It will take you to a secure Steam log in page.
- While you are at it,
MAKE SURE YOU TICK THE BOX TO RECEIVE NEWS OFFERS ETC ABOUT THE GAME! IMPORTANT x2!!
- Once you've checked your email is 100% correct, check that email's inbox. You should first get a free skin for one of the character's, upon recognition of you validating the email address.
The Runescape outfit email might not appear until later, or until you've done at least 5 games.
- The 5 games should be played in the 'friendly games' option, I am not sure if the other modes count. And it
doesn't matter if you win or lose
(I had 7 games, all of them 'defeats').
- Each game is about 20 minutes long. After you've done your 5 games, check your email again, and be sure to check ALL folders (mine appeared in my 'promotional' tab for my Gmail).
