And the mods who work on RuneScape do just that - they work on RuneScape. No resources are taken from RuneScape and given to other games. New hires are made for the other games.
RuneScape is not affected by Block'n'load, and if there was no Block'n'load, there would be no difference in resources. They are separate.
Oh, come off it, we're not stupid. These 'new hires' and the string of expensive flops they work on are being paid for by squeezing dry the only successful game Jagex have ever had.
The Fun Orb flop?
Runescape players paid for that.
The time spent on Mechscape that didn't even get to launch?
Runescape players paid for that.
The Stellar Dawn fiasco?
Runescape players paid for that.
The disastrous Transformers Universe money pit?
Runescape players paid for that.
The time spent on ThirdScape that didn't even get to launch?
Runescape players paid for that.
The 8Realms disaster?
Runescape players paid for that.
We know we've been bled dry with Microtransactions to fund the countless flops Jagex have wasted money on, and for you to pretend otherwise is, frankly, insulting.
We're fed up with the only good game you've ever had being swamped with microtransactions and bled dry with price rises, and you have the gall to pretend it's not happening?
There's only so far you can push us before we quit
, and you're getting mighty close to it by announcing another flop with a tie-in scheme that doesn't work, and lying to our faces about how it's funded.

You know that is complete and utter b0ll0cks.
Hiring those devs cost Jagex money. Where does Jagex get its money? Well, seeing as the company has only one commercially successful game on the market, I think it's a safe bet that the money came from that successful game - Runescape.
Seriously. If you won't stop wasting our money on all those failed endeavours,
at least stop insulting our intelligence
.
Also,

Well I tried out Block * Load.. and to be honest, I thought it was going to be utter and complete horse bunk. But it wasn't! That's a really damn cool game!

. Or don't. Up to you.
why u kicking off so much jagex is a company like any other company there hear to make money as you would if you owned a company.
I understand what your saying but look on other companys big list that charge over price for games that only cost 50p to copy on to a disc then charge people 30-50 pounds for the pleasure as they no people will pay it and most games now are 90% to online gaming so theres also a other cost to pay out for.
All jagex are saying it this will not effect the time thats been put into Runescape and i sure belive that with how much change as happend in the last 3+ years but i agree with what u said if wasn't for players alot of things wouldn't happen and Jagex wouldn't be a company still but there are for a very good reason
1. reason is because they listen to what we want and do there very best to give us what we want you might not belive that but I do Runescape is life.
Well what the Mods are saying are being ignored by some individuals who are hell bent on what they say is right and no other opinion is correct.
I do see some of the reasoning behind the negativity, I've been a player for over 10 years now, but some seem to just to pull numbers out of the air and with little insight on what's going on.
It's easy to point fingers, especially when you don't work at the Jagex office, and on what you think is going on.
Thing is, a company makes one mistake or two, generally speaking, and the public makes so many theories, gets so furious, gets so toxic, it's really disturbing. (Edit} Because then everything after these mistakes is a mistake, then soon it catches like fire and everything a company does is wrong.
There are people with a legitimate opinion that get flushed out by the bandwagoning complaints it's unreal.
But everyone has an entitlement to their own opinion, and there's always two sides to something. Just sad that society focuses so much on the negative and less of the positive.
I'm saying in general, not singling anyone out in particular. But this has gone on since Runescape was founded, people were upset and said how it wouldn't make it.. many years later they are still doing it.
Ah well. Sometimes I wonder why I keep making comments like this, they get drowned out by the white noise and static. Just wish someone would listen more. Falls on deaf ears it seems.
I wish everyone the best, and please be happy! Smile!
It's okay to smile.

Edit: I do not apologize for being realistic and breaking "common trends"
The posts slating Jagex are horrible, you people act as if you know everything but you don't. This game has barely been out and already has a following. Yes Jagex has made poor game decisions but is it not too soon to write off this game? Transformers universe was a game that Jagex was contracted to make so unless I am mistaken that did not put as big of a dent into funds as you may think.
Yes Runescape money is used for other games, but do people forget that Jagex is a BUSINESS, and a business makes money so why does it bother you if Jagex invests in order games. Would you rather them keep the profits? we all know that regardless of the actions Jagex takes they wont invest all the money back into Runescape, nor should they.
"We know we've been bled dry with Microtransactions to fund the countless flops Jagex have wasted money on, and for you to pretend otherwise is, frankly, insulting." - This line makes me shudder, you act as if the flops are the reason for microtransaction, its not that Jagex need money. They have more than enough money. They know that little Jimmy over there has 30$ to spare and wants to buy himself bonuses or cosmetics, I will not disagree with the fact that this should never have been implemented, but on a business standing they did the right thing. To IVP (not Jagex may I add) whether or not this game lasts another 5 years does not matter. They know that membership fees clearly are swamped by MTX sales so why should it matter to them.
In no way am I saying that the paths followed by Jagex and IVP are the way to treat a game, but to slate on a new game right off the bat is unjustified. I am sure that the game being a "Jagex game" is all you people need to fuel your fire to want your "old perfect" game back. Face it... won't happen. So instead just enjoy Runescape and/or Block * Load without the need to get your knickers in a twist.

Because
Runescape makes money and nothing else Jagex released ever did
. And the money RS makes is the money
we pay for RS
, not for dubious investments into one failure after another.
