This is a great summary, really clear and percise for those who don't know whats been going on in this game. I for one am a fan of the changes, of course those who don't agree may think as they wish, everyone has a say and i respect that. Anyway i like the runescape the way it is now! I for one will be sticking with Runescape for the many years to come!

Links directing other forum users to external sites is not allowed here on the forums. As such, your post has been hidden. However, your good intent is greatly appreciated.

Reporting the player in-game for "Staff Impersonation" is best in this situation. Jagex will be able to review the evidence from the report in-game and take the appropriate action to prevent situations like this from happening in the future.

Jagex has an email for players to submit emails regarding phishing attempts. The email is "reportphishing@jagex" with the most common ending after "@jagex". In the email, you will want to provide the link you were given.

"Since 2013 we brought a range of next generation anti-botting technology allowing us to detect all bots within hours with 100% certainty. We ban bots at random intervals a few days after first detection so that they never know exactly how they were detected. A side effect of this is that we see many players who had botted prior, try to appeal their bans as they incorrectly believe they were unfairly banned because they are often playing normally when the ban is applied and therefore think we’ve made a mistake and somehow they managed to get away with historic botting. Bots cannot adapt to this new technology leaving them flawed and at a completely manageable trickle."


With 100% certainty is bull.... I know from helping my brother get his account back a few weeks ago... You should also start reading the ban appeals. MOST are fake and were really botting but you are still banning real players for it even when they dont bot... that means you cant have a 100% certainty. otherwise that wouldn't be happening
