Happy Christmas.
Due to tight circumstances at home, I made the tough decision to use the majority of my hard-earned coins to buy 24 bonds for premier membership rather than spend more money on monthly membership. While I was extremely dissatisfied at the introduction of bonds and I truly believed you should have perm-banned the 40% of those rule breakers to purify the game, I'm now more thankful for my continued ability to play the game in my precious free time when real life circumstances cut away my extra resources.
This year, I absolutely loved The World Wakes, The Death of Chivalry, and especially Missing, Presumed Death. The graphics were great, the stories were gripping, the voice acting was spot-on, and the cutscenes saw fantastic improvement over previous quests.
I really liked the introduction of things that give me a reason to log in each day: the Battle of Lumbridge, Super September, the new world event and Christmas community events, and even divine locations from divination.
You guys and gals at Jagex turned out some real quality content this year, and I agree that the community has grown stronger than it had been in the last couple of years, but there's still work to be done!
A lot of players and Jmods alike have expressed that they want more quests, and I must agree. A lot of players have said that you didn't fulfill your promise of finding the right balance of spin ads to game updates, and I agree.
Minigames like trouble brewing, soul wars, pest control, mobilising armies, fist of guthix, castle and clan wars, and many others are dead content that need huge overhauls and refreshing in terms of gameplay and rewards.
Combat after ages of beta testing and patching still needs considerable work in terms of fixing gear to make many rewards as useful as they once were.
..that stupid wheel still gets shoved way too often into the player's face. Fix that. Thanks..
Anyway, have a good Christmas and I hope next year is even better and more fun
