I would really like it to be able to run soon on my iPhone 4 :(

Why it should be better as an app:
-chats, news announcement and grand exchange updates notifications
-designed specific for family of devices: better local storage APIs, better loading, rendering, literally better performance overall
-easier and more familiar for users to download
-we'll be able to review and rate your app, and leave for you guys advices for improvements right there

and disadvantages:
-more time to develop. to 2 native clients: java and objective c. but it's worth it. make it light clients, that get only the needed information. no need for full parts of the game engine. it'll take more time, but i think it's worth it.

I would have loved this to be an actual application and not a 'Web-app"
I'm not a big fan of phone, or tablet browsers so it just kinda puts me down a bit.

The companion is working fine on my Iphone 5s but still much rather have it as an application from the appstore or something.

EDIT: I got it downloaded to my homescreen like an app but it shuts out randomly on iPhone 5s. Wattson main btw.

I like Jagex's idea. Put the app on the newer models of phones instead of the older models. Especially when much more people use the older models than newer. I see more people with Iphone 4's than I do 5's.

The app seems very slow and laggy on my iPhone 5s. sofar it's crashed only once while trying to log in. Hope that you guys can make it work a lot smoother in the future. There's nothing worse than laggy scrolling and texting :/

Actually it won't take them twice the time to develop because there is a virtual machine called RoboVM which was designed for ISO to run Java (supporting both android and oracle API), you can Google RoboVM to get more details.

this could actually be a good feature for the app to have in later times, and it would not necessarily have to have high requirements. unless you arent refurring to hardware...anyway, it could be done with a very simple interface that doesnt use a lot of system hardware to run it.

and btw havent tried it yet but can you like let it allow to do daily sof spins? in the future and some grand exchange stuff

ps: dont flame about sof cuz at first didnt like it but now its never gonna be gone on game so now Ive manage to like it ty

This is great. i just talked in Clan chat and private chat. No problems on my laptop, it's sad you can only use chrome yet.

I hope you'll be able to access your Bank and the Ge on the app. That could be usefull for flipping when your traveling or when you have little time.

It's great app Jagex.

P.S.

Web App is usefull, it doesn't take up space on your device.
