looks cool for people thats clan works together, unlike the one im in that died 1 week after clans came out
this might get the dead clans back to life, or not
eather way it dosnt matter to me
Logic, who needs it...
Please allow us to move the habitat to a different location. My clan uses the fountain area very often. I don't want to see it go as it is very important to us, but we'd like to have a mascot!
Sorry, but as cool as this concept is, I have to disagree if it's only earned through the Citadel.
From what I can understand now, it appears that the Clan Avatars can provide a distinctive boost to clans use choose to use the Citadel, over clans who do not, in areas that aren't even related to the Citadel - which I completely disagree with, mainly when it comes to the warring aspect.
I mean I can't tell right now from the bonuses that each tier of Citadel will provide for this Avatar, but I'm presuming it'll be somewhat hierarchical (it's confirmed that you get 3 Avatars with Tier 7, at the very least), which basically goes to follow that if you have a better Citadel, you'll have more bonuses, and if you don't, you won't.
I've respected the Citadel to this point, my clan does actively use it, but I've always kept in mind that at the end of the day, this is NOT essential to my clan. What's essential to clanning (and by clanning, I mean bare minimum clanning, not "good" clanning) at the very at least is communication and a hierarchical structure to some degree. That's it. The rest is completely in the air. I didn't need a Citadel or Clan Avatar in 2006 to run my clan and I sure as hell don't need one now. I don't mind bonuses, but I disagree fully with making something out to be essential when it's clearly not.
Not to mention, that before this update, clans weren't directly affected by another clan's choice to participate in the Citadel. If the clan did, they alone received the bonuses at no cost to any other clan. This crosses that line.
That being said, if the bonuses are in any way, shape, or form hierarchical (which they are at the very least for T7), this places pressure to have a higher Citadel. I'd like to remind everyone in stating that Citadels are not friendly to smaller clans or non-skilling clans. Clans can't reach Tier 7 without at least 50 members, so this update is just a complete slam already to those who range from 5 to 49 members.

I can't agree with an update that places pressure on a clan to change the way they run or even worse - the very set up and size they are, just to merely compete effectively with other clans at what they already do. These are communities we're discussing, not levels. There's a huge difference in releasing a new weapon that requires a high Attack level with great bonuses from releasing a huge beneficial update that favors large clans or clans that like skilling in the Citadel. These are preferences, and choosing not to do them should not have any consequence that isn't directly related to the preference.
The one thing I've always loved about clans is how diverse they can be, whether they choose to make their focuses on skilling, community, PvP, PvM, combination, or the like. This is completely crossing that line, by making something that is not essential to clanning, essential to clans of all form and type. I wouldn't like it very much if I ran a PvP clan, and my ability to kill people relied on how many times I killed a boss or how maxed out my Fishing skill was. The same applies here.
Plenty of top war clans only have a few members, heck Army of Shad only has 9 members, which doesn't even qualify them for Tier 2 Citadel, yet they're #8 in Rated Clan Wars. This is just one example of many, that would have their way of clanning affected by something that doesn't apply to their ability to war.
I'm sorry, but I'm concerned at this point. :/

EDIT: Hope I'm honestly wrong about the favoring of Citadel Tiers. Feel free to point out anything wrong, I'd gladly change my view on this. But from what I gathered, this is what I got.
EDIT #2: Clan member told me that the video hinted that clans may only have one Avatar out at a time on the surface, which would equalize clans across Tiers from what I can tell. Really hope this is the case.

^" a hierarchical structure to some degree." Why you need that?
You speak as most clans are warring clans, well nowadays most clans are not!
There are to many ppl just focusing on the combat skills , when actually the non cb skills will actually help you.
As for those saying that citadel gets to much attention, this is the first upgrade since it came out!
And for those clans that are in the 100+ and tier one at citadel , you have no excuse at all . Its just you adversity against skilling. Which is childish
