@ JackOfBlades: Well, I am a Veteran. Not with this account, but I have been playing since 2005 with different accounts. Although I do like the old style, I am looking forward to see the new graphics. And the fun thing with those graphics is, you can always game on a lower detail.
And like everything, this game is moving as well. I do not like or care much about the microtransaction-stuff of SoF and SGS, but a game should be changing, imho, updates like quests and stuff, but graphics as well.

Now THIS is good content/updates that Jagex is implementing in the game. But I am kind of disappointed with EOC. That has gone too far. Oh well.... It's nice to see that my little skilling city is getting a makeover :D

See, when i see an update like this, it gives me hope that runescape will survive. Enough of those SOF SGS updates... When i see that the graphic team put this much effort into the remodel of al-kharid it makes me want to play the game more. Take note of this... When we see how much you care about your game, you will attract more players. Its like that in life, same goes for education. If you have a teacher that shows how much they care about success, you will most likely try not to be lazy and succeed.
Can't wait to run through this city when it is remade. Thank you.

Oh...this is going to be awesome.....
Really looking forward to it. Is there any chance this "New Quest" will be F2P?
F2P hasn't had a new quest added in over two years, yet members get them sometimes more than once a month. Add to this, the only F2P quest that involves Al Kharid in any way is "Price Ali's Rescue," which takes place more in Lumbrudge/Draynor than Al Kharid.

I must admit, being huge on real life geography, my first impression upon crossing the river Lum was "How the heck does a steel fence separate a scorching desert from a quiet river town?" The natural cliffs and slopes entrance into Al-Kharid really made me happy. About time that old desert got a great rework.

this looks AMAZING!!!
great work jagex!!! ive always loved the middle-eastern look to the area and now its going to look EVEN BETTER.
and the godwars facelift has been long awaited, i cant wait to see the look of the new GWD, it should be amazing because its an old frozen over battle field with the armys of zammy, sara, armadyl still raging throughout the ages.
If i may make a suggestion i would really love a Godwars storyline to come out, explaining the war itself, maybe going deeper into the story of the lesser know god, Armadyl and Bandos. Maybe even see lord bandos himself?
