Get over yourself how many times do i have to say this oh my so it takes longer to kill a monster well welcome to the world of an mmorpg. Oh my people get hp bonus.... Like i said again welcome to the world of a true mmorpg. And multi widly boohoo once more welcome to the world of a true mmorpg there is no one on one combat in a pvp area in a true pvp game there is only you better hope the other person likes you kind of feeling.

Bleh. was looking forward to this, forgot that for some reason cant get RS to work in browser, so ill have to pass, curse thee windows 7! (probably), or maybe Java
It'd be nice to have the Beta available as a client. because i can run RS fine through the normal client but considering the way the beta will be under tweaks constantly, I suppose a client is sorta unfeasible
Oh well, maybe next time

im a lvl 90 range with new cb lvl of 188. abberant spectres were good for training decent drops convenient to bank etc, now i get 2 xp per kill. yes thats right 2 xp!!!!! there is no way that this is a good idea. and why are they multi combat now??? jagex i said it before and ill say it again, please dont do this to us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really don't like how resistant mages in daemonheim are against melee attacks. Soloing a lv 198 forgotten mage using promethium 2h is harder than soloing a lv 300 mercenary leader in the live game. With the current bind system it's really hard to adjust your binds for all three combat styles.

I have played tons of mmorpgs, I always come back to runescape because it has a unique quality about it with both the atmosphere, questing and fighting. However after playing for 11 years this NEW jagex decided to change the game completely with SOF and now this **** combat update that ruins pking.

First of all, thank you to all the Jagex team for the hard work you put into the evolution of combat. In my opinion you did an outstanding job. For some time I had thought it would be cool to have different skills besides the basic ones we have now. And the skills and animations you chose are right on...lots of fun!!
The skill bar will make it so much easier to set up for a boss fight. I can't help but wish we'd had them when I fought Nomad...everything right at your fingertips. I think the interface is easy to use. I had no problems getting things setup. Mostly I was experimenting with different weapons and skill sets to check out the options. If anyone doesn't want to use the skill bar btw I found it also convenient to open the ability book and use the skill right from there. Love the ranged skills, the two handed melee skills, and the spear. Thank you for providing all the free gear and weapons. It was fun to try out stuff I can't afford yet. Lastly, I like the fact that I can choose which combat skill I want to work on regardless of the weapon I'm using. Great idea!
For the amount of time I've played so far the only issues would be ... lots more lag..but this is beta, so that's understandable. I know that's something you're testing for. The only other thing I"m not sure about is the balance between weapon types. The spear definitely gave me the best hits whereas the sword and shield not so much. The ranged attack which explodes over the foe's head didn't always show the animation. So I wasn't sure if that's because the attack was "evaded" or it was just a glitch. If it was evaded, I didn't see an animation for that.
Looking forward to the new combat system!!
