I've not been invited to the beta and during that weekend when every member had access, I participated in the beta. I must say that was the most thrilling, exciting and exhilarating combat experience I've had on Runescape. The way the combat system worked was absolutely perfect because you had to be tactical and strategic especially in PvP situation; you have to combine abilities from each combat style e.g. When I was using melee I mixed it up with shield abilities such as Anticipation and freedom to free myself or avoid any stuns my enemy is trying to inflict me with then I will soon counter with the bleeding effect of slaughter, stepping one step further backwards to make them move which will then cause a DPS (damage per second) determined by the maximum damage of your weapon and then finishing my opponent off with destroyer that stuns the opponent preventing them from eating combined with the DPS of slaughter; their death is inevitable. People are hating on the combat system because they aren't thoroughly evaluating the abilities, this is my assumption. I love how rushers in the wilderness aren't able to kill you in 10 seconds by using something like the dragon claws special attack that is available in Runescape 2. The combat triangle is definitely balanced in my opinion because I've tested them myself in the wilderness using magic, ranged and melee. Melee>Range>Mage. This is how it should be and it is in Runescape 3. The free food and supplies in the shop should definitely be noted because it takes ages to keep banking them even with the use of the ability called surge to travel fast. Some monsters in the combat system seem to have a significant amount of life points and often takes quite long to kill. Overall, the beta is successful and so did many friends I made whilst playing it. I miss the beta and wish that members have permanent access to it because there were under ten thousand people playing it so I assume the invited people are inactive.
