i think the major problem is that the beta is too pvp focused, and ignored pvm. most of the complaints here are towards, pvm, and therein lie the need for most changes. look at the new combat level indicator. it's basically *skill you can hit high in* + *defence.* if rs were 100% balanced, that would be fine, because a lvl 200 might hit the same whether he was a ranger or a mage or meeler. all you need to know is that, at 200, he can take a hit, and hit hard.
but rs isnt balanced. melee still rules, even in the beta. and people are proud of having maxed melee stats. i certainly am.
also, protection prayers arnt working. that itself is, possibly, more important than any other issue here (besides lack of special attacks. i miss my sgs).
i can see everywhere being multicombat being good and bad. good for more use of familiars and cannon, bad because of kill stealing.
but most of all, it took me 4 minutes to kill a mithril dragon. 3 minutes. that is an insane amount of time, and i was using abilities the whole time. so please, this update has potential. but i think that theres more pvmers than pvpers. dont let this update kill us.
