Mmmk, first of all, I really don't think this update is as bad as people are making it seem; I am a seasoned veteran of the game before you go jumping to conclusions thinking I don't have a firm grasp on how 'beautifully simple' the current combat mechanics are. There are only two problems I have with the proposed new combat system, but to me they are quite glaring problems, to the extent where they threaten to jeopardise my overall opinion of it.
The first is that whilst I was fighting some (what are currently) higher level NPCs, I was getting damaged through the respective deflect curse; my response to this is: are you kidding me? I hope this is only a temporary hitch; there's a difference between making combat more about skill and simply making it more strenuous.
My second is that I take issue with the abolishment of the special attack system; there has been no attempt whatsoever to integrate the special attack system into the adrenaline bar; it's just been scrapped completely. What I think would work better is if (and don't hold me to these figures because I'm not entirely sure of them, we'll say they're figurative for all intents and purposes) for example, you get 10% special attack back every 30 seconds. The current Armadyl Godsword special uses 50% special attack, meaning it would take 150 seconds to naturally acquire the energy needed to perform the special. Why not integrate this into the adrenaline bar by having the special attack use up 50% of adrenaline (instead of having an all or nothing scenario with Ultimate abilities (I'm not saying scrap Ultimates, just let us keep special attacks)) and then the Armadyl Godsword special having a cooldown of 150 seconds on top of the circa 1.5 second global cooldown. At the moment, is there really any point buying anything more expensive than a Bandos Godsword? Aren't all four of them now just exactly the same, so it makes logical sense to get the cheapest?
Anyway those are my only two problems :P

Jagex,
Take a look at the feedback would you please? All of these people are quitting and are willing to quit if the EOC goes through, look at the losses! I'm telling you to look at the losses because the money is clearly what you guys are all about now. RuneScape is where it is because and only because of its past. Over the past three years or so, this game has gotten worse and worse gradually. Between the graphical updates and changes to game play, I can hardly say I enjoy the game anymore. If any major updates are to be made, restore the game back to like 04' RS haha. If the EOC goes through, you'll be losing many loyal members, ones that have been with you since the very beginning. Many people I know will be done completely. This update is absolutely horrible. I don't know if this was some kind of scheme to get more players or what, but RS is just going to be another game if this goes through. If the EOC is too much to take back, then at least open separate servers or something. Have some pride in your own game for God's sake. RS is the best thing you'll ever have and you're turning such a great game into another piece of crap like we always see on the internet. Whatever.. Go ahead a ***** over RuneScape if you want, you'll just lose old, loyal members who have played since the glory days.
