To sum some info up on these recent questions about html5. I am in school for web design and development, that being said, html5 is a lot easier for a web browser to display/load. Html5 is the most godly update to html in a long time and allows so much more flexibility when developing the site. Java is a not html it is a script language which means the webpage loads html/css first then goes to the next things such as a script (java jqueary). A web browser always loads the html first but! can be made to load a script at the same time with some practice in scripting. Since runescape 3 will be in html5 (which is simply amazing that this can be done) it is loading this data first over a java app or plugin. It will be all on the jagex server side and doesn't rely on jagex sever sending the data to java and waiting for it to be received. You guys are really in for a treat here! :p

@those complaining about lag

HTML 5 is more efficiant than java, besides, think, med settings w/HTML 5= no lag

Yea, the bestairy lags (alot) but it's a database, not rs. Just don't worry, anyways, Jagex said you can still use java if you want.

One of my biggest disappointments with this game has always been that I could never see the sky. Never giving it much thought, that is was just the engine not allowing the view distance to open up.

Many thanks for having the time to update this all again. A favorite game, becoming more visually stunning and acceptable compared to other big named games from other platforms. You're going 110%+ in my book.

Thanks JAGEX.
