Personally, I find this as a useful content, sure it's not 'unnecessary' but it's a NEW CONTENT nonetheless. We Scapers want new contents and you're delivering, thanks Jagex.
I may not find this as a useful method but i'll stop judging until the actual release but I like how we FINALLY got an alternative method to train prayer and to TOP it all, more lore.
Le Infamous XP Waster... Part-time Demon Flash Mob Hunter; 8 titles found
finally, a jmod that doesn't suffer form the good looking-virus
btw I like all new content, but personally I will only be doing this if it's a completionist requirement (didnt watch the vid yet)
time for some high-level content

I believe it was stated that this mini-game at peak efficiency will provide a new player with level 1 prayer enough experience to reach 40, so this is the assumption I'm going to make.
Level 40 requires a total of 37,224 xp. Now again I'm assuming you are going to put a cap on the amount of times the Nexus can be completed in a week/month/whatever, so that people aren't getting 37k prayer xp for free every however-many-minutes-it-takes-to-complete-1-round.
The gp/xp cost of burying big bones on a gilded altar with 2 burners lit is currently 8.15, which is typical for prayer training. Thus the cost of reaching level 40 from level 1 using this method comes to 303,464 gp.
You are going to give every low level the equivalent of 300k gp worth of prayer xp.
When I was a noob even my rich friend wouldn't give me more than 100k, do you know why? No, not because he was tight, because if you get hand-outs you start to depend on them.
Obviously it gets harder the higher you're aiming, and a push at the start can really help to ease you along, but what you are saying when you publicly announce that this update was designed to ease the cost of prayer for those players who do not wish to wait until they gain gp, is that they should instead wait for an update which allows them to do it for very little effort and at no personal cost.
This is a slap in the face to any player who earned prayer by themselves because no one was there to help them, to bail them out or to pay for it for them.
The trade-off here is that there's going to be a cap, and as a training method the xp is going to be very slow, unsuitable for higher levels and thus bones won't destabilize. You are going to give new members the wrong impression of what this game is about. It isn't about quick rewards to get you hooked, you are supposed to struggle through it, be a noob and overcome the challenges you are faced with.
Of course prayer is a joke atm so even having 99 is pointless, carry on.
Leo's paw.

Looks interesting. Reminds me a lot of the Shadow Temple and Well dungeons in Ocarina of Time, especially those arms o.o
I didn't see any mention here, but is it still going to be a finite amount of xp (I think it was something in the 30k range?) so that low levels can get up pretty quick, but high levels barely feel a dent?
I keep seeing people mention that exp limit. Unfortunately, I can't listen to the video where I'm at right now. Does the BTS mention anything about a cap or is this just from previous discussions?
only the people keep me playing now, if youre gonna put out an update at least make an effort and do something players want instead of forcing whatever crap you come up with on us.
