in the section from the quest there is a line and it says:an old-school quest with new-school rewards.
the prev bts of june at the section from ''promises'' from mod mark
is also sort of the same line: divination, old school skill with new school rewards.

is it related in some sort?

On a side note, I hope to read your suggestions and ideas in the beta forums ;)


Wondering if that implies RuneScape 3 hitting open beta or if you meant that only in reply to my comment on the water.

If it is in regards to the statement I made about the water, this is only what I have seen in the videos by some of the more prominent members of the RuneScpae YouTube Community.

Either way, I will post in those Forums when the time comes.

What is this the 4th straight BTS that's been disappointing? Vorago sounds awesome but we already knew he was coming & the quest seems cool as well, but we knew about that too.

So really I just read that BTS and learned about an announcement coming Wed. (which doesn't even belong on a monthly BTS, just there to fill space) and a lot of Sof/solomans stuff that I don't care for or want. Another great month from Jagex.

Last month, the posting Mod mentioned that Jagex wasn't going to commit too many things to the BTS since with all the work being done to the RS3 graphical update, you quite frankly couldn't guarantee that all things could come out.
Yet in June, we did see a few other updates come out that were not in the June BTS.

Are there other content based updates pending that might get released in July?

Or are what is in the BTS the only major updates we're really going to see?

Very well worded question. As RuneScape 3 is a huge update and an Everest of work for us, understandably our main focus is there - to bring you amazing game experience with better graphics, new content, brand new website and much more.

In terms of updates, this is a sneak peek into July's behind the scenes happenings and lists our plans for the month as they are. Is there something in particular you would like to see in game?

Not the 200th quest? Why does my adv. log say I've completed 199 quests?

The A-Log counts original quests (such as Death Plateau) and it's remake as 2 separate quests.

The actual quest count (if you look in your Quest Journal) is 188.

Does anyone use the Quest Journal anymore? That big black window taking you away from Gielinor? I thought people stopped using that...

I feel your pain.
A portion of the community would rather have several 'no update' weeks than more SoF updates.

Knowing Jagex, the new SoF masks will have their own headlining banner week to make it seem like there are 3 weeks of content releases instead of 2.
They'll feel like they have to do SOMETHING once they remove all of the Crown of Season ... stuff ... and the new masks will be the replacement filler ... stuff ...

How much of the community would be willing to go to 1 update per month, and a few weekly tweaks to graphics, grammar, etc if it meant getting rid of SoF?

Also that bit about new slayer masks caught my eye - Now that it's announced there's no going back on those words I suppose, but please do consider making the existing masks less rare, and, at the end of the upcoming promotion, the new ones as well.
The slayer masks cover unique attributes, useful ones at that, which aren't available anywhere else in the game. Considering this, they really should be much more available to the players which do not pay extra cash to succeed.
