The skill that was promised for the first half of the year that has now ended.

Perky little patronising mods do not help cover the fact that failure is now standard procedure from Jagex.

** this was supposed to be a reply to the air head mod with that grating "what you looking forward to guys" comment ** No update is promised to come out on a correct time, only planned, explaining why the skill hasn't been released yet.

The proof is in the last two paragraphs of all behind the scenes updates, shown below.

This, however, is only a plan - not a promise - that a particular update will be released in a particular way or at a particular time. To get you the highest quality updates as quickly as possible, we usually keep on tweaking and testing right up until the moment before release, so sometimes things change or take a bit longer than expected. We aren't afraid to change our plan if necessary, as we will never launch an update before it is ready.

what is up with all the crybags?

looks like organized rwters griefing the forums. all the complaints are preplanned. they are all ready for bts every month.

so theres 3 things on bts this month. takes someone real special to complain about it.

if you can't be excited about bacon...all of your opinions should be disregarded.

Seriously, stop and think. Just think. Use the brain that I'm assuming you have for the sake of argument.

They have probably the vast majority of their entire workforce working on RS3. Html 5, NIS, 6th Age story and quests, all this and more is coming over the next couple of months. That means there aren't going to be a great deal of small updates considering there are many big ones on the way. You should be thankful you're getting any updates at all.

New quest about bacon. BACON. Be excited or GTFO.
New boss, stronger than any boss, including the Queen Black Dragon. Not my cup of tea, but all the AI stuff they've put into Vorago is impressive.
Announcement. Related to RS3. Ignored by every crybaby in the thread. Wait for Wednesday, then be excited.
Crown of seasons. Provided they don't make it untradeable after it's removed I'll be fine with it.
Slayer masks. Last lot were good, got myself a pretty darn useful Basilisk Helm. Banshees and Dust Devils will be great, especially since Dust Devils just got a buff.

Solomon stuff, right at the bottom, not even two lines long and all you ungrateful little sods are acting as though Jagex wrote a whole paragraph going:
SOLOMON SOLOMON SOLOMON SOLOMON SOLOMON etc........

All the people who just talk bull about all this are the reason we can't have nice things. Yet Jagex gives nice things to us anyway. You're like a kid who says "I don't want to eat my vegetables" so your mum gets you a nice lolly for dessert and you're like "I don't want a lolly, I want ice cream"

Alright. So... Loyalty update? I mean a lot of us are just sitting around amassing huge amounts of utterly useless points. It would be a great idea to release an update to this severely outdated mechanic soon, and maybe even a side by side release with rs3 would be good. give us old time members something nice to use all these useless points on. The current rewards dont quite last long enough to be worth buying, and there's but one way to get points. waiting. so make all that wait really worth it.

Bacon - Wow, Jagex creativity at an all time high.

Vorago - Another high level boss monster for team PvMers - meh

RS3 - I still can't even get the bestiary to load, let alone the HTML5 RS3. Hopefully this won't be released for at least a few months... then again, I said that about EoC and wasn't that fun *sarcasm*

Crown of Seasons - BUY SPINS BUY SPINS. Would've needed 60+ hours over a 4 day weekend to get enough components to make it from skilling. Not everyone can play 15 hours a day for 4 days straight. Just another marketing campaign to sell spins. 50c a spin is higher than most poker machines, and at least they have a chance of returning some of your money. SoF spins for sale are a disgusting addition to the game.

Slayer Masks - The one decent update, albeit unnecessary - promote skilling and make slayer more accessible.

Solomons - Groan. Oh well, some people like it. Still better than the Sof spins.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE

- Fix the missing bank pin from ports
- Alter the quest kit and toolkit from MA and Flash Powder so they actually serve a purpose
- Prevent adze from overriding as the default pick, when a dragon pickaxe is held in the toolbelt
- Provide a new Mos Le Harmless resource to revive Trouble Brewing
- Reduce the player limit required to start a game of Fist of Guthix
- Fix the drop rates for certain monsters (e.g. KK) so that it doesn't cause market crashes (e.g. torstol seeds / torstols)
- Fix the graphical glitch from home teleporting while wearing Tetsu
- Revert the default POP from untradable to tradable to prevent accidental copies of untradable armour
- Fix the black screening when world hopping in particular
- Fix the lag by reducing or removing unnecessary graphical 'improvements'
- Stop the bots by implementing characters with AI to monitor area-specific bot behaviour

I didn't see any hint to it so its probably wishful thinking to see a "bacon cape" commin along with this quest. :|
This should totally be a quest reward, but empirical evidence suggests that we would have a better chance of receiving a Christmas cracker from a chicken.
