I personally HATE the selling spins. I realize that jagex has to grub money from somewhere though. Just please, stop promoting it on the front page. Stop spamming me ingame with the stuff. Get rid of the tab, put the SOF somewhere else. I don't think that the revenue you are getting from spins is more then what you are losing in players leaving, or getting generally irritated with all of this.
If you are trying to make a fun game, you are not doing all that great. Runescape is fun, the SOF crap is not.

This game sucks now SOF and continuous exp increase after people grind it. this game doesnt try to keep people anymore... they make more money on getting people to pay from getting from zero to hero as fast as possible... play a game with endgame content available in 2 weeks like wow or something dont ruin our game dumbing it down to the status of a facebook application.
Tony stark dies at the end of Avengers Endgame

What I wrote to them and even did not get an answer...
Feeling so sad that I have been playing RuneScape for more than 10 years, nobody listen to the opinion of the consumers and players... SAD BUT TRUE... :(
"Hello Dear Vodcab and Jagex staff,
I have been playing RuneScape for 10 years as free to play. Now I am member... I really hate the stupid unfair "Squel of Fortune"... Even the proportion of the wheel is unfair, since the time for clicking the rare items is less space from the other items, if you see the wheel, carefully! I would call it rather - "TRY & DIE", since as much as you try to get the rares, you are deing from this game and getting angry that you cannot get some rare stuff. Today, I just bought twice 75 spins, i.e. I bought 150 spins for £ 26, just to see whether ever I can get a rare or super rare items... All I wanted is to have the Dragon ceremonial cape. HOW TO GET IT? All I got from all the spins were some experience lamps, coins like 5000 and 1000 gp, and some noobish stuff... No matter that even I am paying and giving money to be as being a member, I cound not get even 1 rare or super-rare item from the SOF, which is really pity, and all the £ 26 have gone just like this, since I was brain-washed from the game... I am really dissapointed and would like to share my pain with everybody! Better to give all these money to a charity and UNICEF for the little children struggeling in Africa, for instance! It will be much more worth to save somebody's life and help anybody who needs help, rather than playing a game, who is just taking from you, but not giving :( I agree with everybody who is saying that everything is about the money, no body cares about the scammers in RS and even I have used so many times the report abuse, no action have been taken agains the people who pretend that they can double money or items :( I am really sad about this reality. Whatever goes around, comes around...!"
Sincerely Yours,
Tsetsko

Jagex is either having money problems or has gone crazy okay? And anyways gambling is illegal for people under the age of 18, ergo this is illegal. As it involves the transaction of money for a chance at a prize (In game content).
I'd like to make it very clear to you right now Jagex, this is wrong and the majority of the RuneScape Community agrees with me, therefore it should be taken down immediately.

Hey guys? You're talking to a wall. Jagex doesn't care anymore. They just opened this up to 'discussion' so you could rant your heart out about SoF, and hopefully not rant about it more somewhere else.
I doubt anyone at Jagex will respond to any of our comments, although some true Jagex employees will read them and weep.

I don't understand why people get so upset by the Squeal of Fortune.
The majority of game providers have a currency and the ability to buy that with real money.
Nobody is being forced to purchase anything they don't want to, and nobody is given any great advantage from buying spins either, I earned 2 spins in addition to my normal 2 whilst woodcutting today, and last week I was fortunate enough to win one of the lovely fish masks from an earned spin whilst playing also.
My advice, buy spins if you wish, if you don't wish to, then don't, earn some extras by playing the game instead, and good luck =)

Oh boy, we can get more chances at lamps(exp) with our real money.... I'm all excited.
I remember when this game was pretty decent, people helped each other and mods weren't douchebags; back when membership was a reasonable price for such a low-quality game. A game you can't run with anything else if you value high fps....an unresponsive misclicking adventure game where you lose items upon death-by-disconnecting. A game Jagex now wants to be extra-flashy and appeal to the vain immature brats of today, while spitting in the face of long-term players. But hey! we're getting a new combat system that should've been upgraded years ago! That's totally not a distraction aimed at legit-players..
This is yet another dumpster-thread where good feedback goes to be ignored, to die and rot while you plan the next amazing money-fishing idea. But... my membership ends soon, after that 6-month deal runs out, and then I can watch this nostalgic game burn in the fires of greed as I play World of Warcraft. <--At least Blizzard makes donations to charities and doesn't give unfair advantages at a cost of real money.
You've devalued yourselves so much, that's my "two cents" and now it's worth more than your entire company.
