"Um, why are people complaining about the message this sends to children? This is a video game business, not a daycare. It's none of Jagex's concern if peoples' children are stupid and suggestible enough to gamble just because they can. Parental and personal responsibility, people.
That said, Jagex, the constant shoving of the SoF in our faces is extremely irritating and tasteless. People disliked it when it was introduced and they're disliking even more that every other update involves it now. Fine, you want to sell XP and gold to players, that's your prerogative. Just please stop being so aggressive about it."

The above message sums up my feelings on the matter pretty much perfectly

It's sad how Wall Street has to step in and ruin a world and a game they basically know nothing about, just for another summer home or a nice car. First they do it to the mainstream people, and now this.
I don't care about this crap. Stop the bots..... when a player with over 500 days of play time reports a botter, you take it seriously, and you perm ban them less than a day later... you don't let bots get to 200m hunter off of red chins, and 20m+ off of gem rocks. Wall Street, loose your strangehold from around the neck of Jagex before Runescape truly dies.
Also, don't think that the public relations nonsense that is "Optimus" or whatever, even impresses me...........
Again... forget this crap, or the various Blogs.... I care about seeing legit players being able to take care of botters. I wonder, really... how many players have been scared away from Rs, the second they found out why some players behave they way they do.. I.E. that they are bots. If new players are the lifeblood of Rs, then Rs will be bone dry soon unless you truly solve the problem.
Basically the only reason why me and players with my kind of play time here even stay, is because we want to keep what we have spent so much time on, and because some of us still have goals to strive for.

Lol at the 'fun gamers', so basically these people are tend to play regardless what Jagex updates. "Hey it doesn't matter if someone buys or bot his/her way to success, because I am playing for fun. " Ivp sure loves you people like you and I am sure that they got just something special stored for you in the future. Just to thank you for loyalty.

I was unaware Jagex was forcing you all to buy spins by advertising... are they taking money away from you? absolutely not. It's their website, game, and company. who cares if they advertise on their site? And some of you are complaining about 99's being buyable? if that person wants to spend 500-1000 dollars to get a 99 in a game that doesn't matter whatsoever to real life, why does it matter to you?

You shove in our face the constant message of "we pride ourselves in listening to our players".
Stop joking yourselves and us. I have not yet seen a thread about SOF with even a hint of a positive reception from YOUR players.
Live by your 'martyr' motto for once, listen to your players, and throw this absolute pile of *insert expressive word for poo* that no one except you want, to the RuneScape scrap heap where it belongs.
Or instead take the pathetic weak choice and continue to try and line your pockets with the money of minors gambling like the true scum of society?
I wonder what kind of 'crucification by public opinion' campaign the media could drum up if some disgruntled players were to alert them to some of these details..... ;)
I have a feeling their agreement with the 'piss-weak' line of 'this does not actually constitute gambling' might be non-existent ;)
