Still monkeying with the interface, mostly enjoying it so far, though I do have a few things that I could see being tweaked.

1: Most obvious and nit-picky thing I have is the seeming inability to move the active buffs sub bar. I love having that viewable, but I'd like to move it to a more opportune location.

EDIT: found the bar to move the buffs/debuffs, must have been blind :P

2: I would love to be able to move around the main interface windows. I have a large enough screen that I would have room to move them around quite a bit, and it wouldn't obstruct the main view window, assuming you haven't moved it like I did.

3: I am able to pull most tabs out of the main interface windows, but I can't pull the skills tab out. I somehow lost it in the process of combining windows, and now I can't get it back out without reseting to default.

4: Lastly, I'd love to be able to 'minimize' everything but the main interface tab, such as the combat bar and minimap. For minigames that involve a lot of screen clicking and having a maximized screen size is beneficial, this would help a lot.

Other than those 4 things, so far so good. I appreciate being able to move the 3d game area window, the bank window, and all those other near random choices. I can't wait to see how the enlarged minimap will work with the html5 loading scheme!

Full size minimap ftw!

on old school layout, the tab here are backpack, worn equip and skill you have 2 arrows <- and ->. if you remove that we have space for prayer tab. remove that arrows please.
put money pouch on minimap the button to exit and xp counter too. the same for hp and prayer, so we have the combat tab with adreline like the old version
make the fixed screen maybe litle bigger, or the tabs smaller. with all tabs we see little of the game.
even with transparency tabs, there is many places on that bars which can also be transparent.

When will this be supported for firefox and will you please fix the camera to where we can really look up to the sky, ground, and etc . I want to zoom in and rotate my character more than 360 like other mmos .

I also want the female characters to look less deformed as in disjointed knees, gorilla arms, and oversized b00bs

AH, my mistake for the last post on the mac. Actually, jagex has done a good job in removing some of the lag that i've heard about. Currently, the alpha works moderately well on Firefox for me and didn't work for chrome before.

-Overall, alpha seems pretty good. i will go on maybe tomorrow to check out some more of this

-Friend told me lag was a big issue before alpha but that seems to be FIXED for the most part. So definitely good progress on this rs 3 in my opinion as of now. GJ.

Is this new Interface ever going to be offered to f2p players?
Jagex has been systematically stripping f2p members of every access they can come up with over the last 2 years.
When I started in 2007, the only difference between f2p and paying players was the items they could use, the skills they could train, quests they could could complete, and the areas they could go to.
Since that time, Jagex has removed f2p from Hiscores, locked us completely out of the new Old School Server, and even removed the ability to post in the forums.
Honestly, if you don't want f2p players, just make the game a pay only game and be done with it.

And before you call me a free loader, you need to look me up. I have well over 1600 skill points, and have paid Jagex more for this game than I paid for the Xbox360 Kine** sitting in my living room. Not all f2p players are just looking for a free ride. Sometimes life forces us to cut back a bit on expenses. I don't mind the limited content of f2p over paying members, I can understand and expect that. But, I would like to have at least a say in things, as well as the same general game experience.

''We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape.''

''At times in 2012, it felt like the SoF and SGS releases dominated our release schedule and news feed. We can do better.'' - Mod Mark Gerhard, Jan. 2013

Sorry, but just announcing some mini programming progress with the interface won't distract from the fact that hardly any new content comes up, including new quests.

Stop drowning the game with ever more RWT, start putting up new content for a change. One new quest in 5 months, but several microtransaction expansions is pathetic.

I kind of gotta agree with some people here. The new HTML5 beta looks great, but the new interface just makes everything so much more complicated. You should really have an option to retain the original interface. Think about it Jagex, a lot of people are too lazy to learn new things and will quit because the new interface won't make a good first impression on them.
