I too, had to get the latest version of Chrome, update my graphics card driver and get a pc cleaner just to be able to access the beta. I do like the new graphics. I especially love the new "closer" view of the characters. You are now able to see what each character is wearing in greater detail. The biggest problem I can see with the new screen setup is the idiot brown bar that says "Global chat". That is the biggest waste of about 1/2 inch of screen space. Just let the tabs be "high-lighted" for whichever chat you are using. That's a no brainer guys. You have "optioned" us to death with this beta. TOO MUCH SPACE IS LOST. The boxes we are able to close for more viewing space are the very boxes we want to be open....oh duh. We need to see our inventory and being able to see the chat is imperative for a variety of reasons. Come on now...only 4 lines of chat now???? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot here. We have a hard enough time scrolling the chat already without losing half of what we already had.

Then lets move onto the options. When you do click on something a huge box dang near covers the entire screen. What happens when you're fighting and one of these new spiffy boxes gets clicked by mistake???? You DIE.

And what's up with all the clicks it takes to log out????????????? It took me 10 minutes to find the darn thing. Logging out should be readily apparent for another host of reasons. Jagex...you seem to have forgotten the rudimentary #1 rule of KISS...KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID. That is the programmers number 1 rule of thumb. That rule was kicked to the curb from the get go. You're making the game too complicated. It already takes a couple of hours of research and setup just to fight something. Since you insisted on changing all the stats, strengths and weaknesses of each monster along with all the weapons and armor available.

You have managed to make it so hard to do anything it is no longer any fun. You can't just go out and fight something to train ONE combat skill. The new combat calculations are just dumb. There is no rhyme or reason to any of it as far as I can see. I am a melee person and decided to try magic. I fought to 2 hours using only magic and got about 1500 points of exp in magic?!?!?!?!?! How stupid is that? When we said it would be nice if the combat triangle was balanced we just wanted comparable equipment for comparable lvls and armor.

I think you found out too late in the game that asking your players what updates they wanted was actually the better choice. You have some really smart players out there of all ages, backgrounds and talents. They are a real resource you have ignored for far too long. Yes, some of the EOC graphics are hysterical and some actually are neat but by and large I think the majority of your players don't like EOC. It was too much of a change all at once. So many of us are floundering trying to get used to it and digest it but there just is no rhyme or reason to a lot of it. The new combat lvl is another thing. I just gave up trying to figure it out. The old rank and file combat lvls were readily apparent and easy to understand. You need to get back to the KISS method. There is such a thing as TOO MANY CHOICES.

Now about the inventory backpack. You really expect us to SCROLL thought our inventory now???? Oh come on. You could skinny it back up so we can see it all. All your cute new little icons and such just is not a big enough payoff to give it credit.

Pat yourselves on the back for the new graphics. They are wonderful and the view is great being up close like that. But at what cost? Too many people are just not going to be able to play it. I believe in change for the good and keeping up with technology but I think you've gone a few steps too far too quickly. Slow down. Let your customer base catch up first.

One more suggestion and I'll shut up. The information you give out about helping folks to access the new HTML5 beta is too spread out and hard to find. I find that applies to anything to do with RS. You have to go to forums, check many of them then hunt down the topic you want to know more about, go to twitter, wiki, Youtube. Oh come on guys. You need to keep your info together. It's like a dang safari hunt just to find out anything. Most times I just google the topic after asking other players.

I think the perfect game would be the new graphics in old school. Now that would be a game I think about 95% of the players would more than likely respond best to. I am still checking out the new beta so my thoughts might change a little one way or the others but I don't see it changing very much.

THEN I'll start Beta Testing.

I have been a constant paying member for years on this decade old account and I have never missed a single loyalty point. how come I didn't get an invite to beta?

what the hell is the point of calling them loyalty points if you don't show loyalty to us? whatever the cost of premium members is, I am 100% sure I've paid quintuple that over the lifespan of this character.

Will the new HTML5, RS3, help cut down (or ease) the botting situation?


Never got to Beta test but that's ok with me. I just keep skilling and trying to get through all the content.

This old retired man has loved the changes made in the 6 - 7 yrs I've played.

Looking forward to seeing HTML5,
