Some things we need to mention:
1. It's actually a very big number and I applaud the fact that Runescape made such an immense community over the past twelve years it has been running. Definitely an achievement worthy of an applaud, well done.
2. It's horrible. Plain horrible, the fact that more than 75% of those accounts aren't being used, at all or by a real person on a computer. I think the Jagex staff aren't thinking things too well before broadcasting it to millions and millions of players who's opinions do matter. I think they just want to see big numbers, and so called 'big achievements.'
3. We always blame Jagex for everything. It's true, and I've clearly done that in point #2. We blamed Jagex for taking away free-trade, when it was the players that were pushing them to do so. We blamed them about how bots are very annoying, when in fact they're trying as hard as they can to stop them. We blamed Jagex for many, many things, now I'm not saying Jagex isn't at fault, actually both parties are at faults. Jagex needs to start communicating better with the player-base they have, and the players need to stop being so arrogant as to say, Jagex sucks and it's a bad company. It started with two brothers on a client in 1999, now it's a game with two hundred million accounts. Both sectors need to solve their own problems.
4. Keep going at it, Runescape is twelve years old, it's hitting ******* so there are some rough bumps, don't take this wrong you crazy ******** lol. Just keep doing what you do and hopefully it'll become a better, much more enjoyable game.
