There's a point where the apparent pessimism of the majority of the RuneScape community is - in fact - the true, sad, and proper response to yet another publicity stunt.
Bots, gambling, purchasable spins...
This new combat system doesn't look very promising either, if I wanted to play other MMORPGs, I'd spend 30 minutes, download one, and do everything this new combat system offered, there. I seriously hope people will complain about that future update when it is released.
But anyways, back to 200m accounts registered...
Cool story, bro. Please tell us more about how successful and satisfying this game has become for its consumers, rather than its management.

Got to about page 20 saw less than ten posts that didn't mention bots or something negative. Jagex you have lost touch with your player base so much it's sad, but then again to say you had any touch once you became a large business is laughable.
GZ on a meaningless number that inspires no sense of pride or achievement in the majority of players only the thoughts that I bet the majority are bots.
