the difference is, jagex is making a giant deal that they have 200 million accounts, when in terms of actual account,* inactive or active which are neither bots, cheaters, secondary/niary or banned; the number is significantly lower. And as for MMG's job as CEO; im sure he's a great guy, but that doesn't change the fact his image is shot to crap as an uncaring and uninterested in us leader, and that as his time as leader, general opinion of jagex and community dividing updates has shifted into the anti-jagex camp

I dont think I will be dancing on a sombrero hat for this achievement, and I sure will not be acknowledging Jagex for their makeshift accomplishment. Sure its 200 Million people, but in all honesty, we all know the truth and if you feel like celebrating an achievement set forth by the cheaters community, feel free, but I will not be participating in that fiasco.
Stop celebrating something that should not even be acknowledge until the bot community is in check. I am willing to bet that if they pulled a statistics report from the last bot day, until today, that bots makes up for more than 50% of the rising population.
I challenge you to have another bot nuking day, but this time actually banning all bot accounts rather then a simple slap on the wrist. Then repost the counter to see the after effects. I can imagine the numbers will be a staggering difference.
Congrats on celebrating this accomplishment Jagex, but I hardly doubt that the active user Runescape community is jumping for joy on this one.
Concerned and frustrated like the rest!

Let us take a look at some historical RS players
Larryr was the 2nd player to reach 99 runecraftingv, she ran a successful buissness that invloved runecrafting nature runes. Most of her profit was devgoted to purchasing white partyhats to identify all of her employees. She is the first, and only player to have an NPC named a after, Larriar, who is the current sellar of the Runecrafting cape.
Cursed You, was the first player to reach 99 construction, which caused him to throw a massive house party. When the party experienced tol much lag, he had to boot everyone out. The people who were in the combat ring at the time found that when they were booted out, they could attack players in non-wilderness areas. This resulted in the falador massicer, which resulted of a loss of aboout 2 billion gp. This massicre lasted an hour with losses such as a green partyhat. Jagvex moderators tryed too tell everyone too bank their items and run away. After the massicre, Cursed You was permanintley banned, thougvh he did nothing wrong.
