As a tester (I'd like to thank Jagex for making me be able to participate in the tests) I must say, you've done a good job on html5, Jagex. All of it looks very promising, being able to see the sky and all that. Water looks epic too and the camera rotation is very smooth. The game overall will be a better experience in HTML5 than it was in Java. Once again, good work, I approve of that. RuneScape player since 2007.

Hey all,

Just wanted to let Jagex know that I feel a little disrespected. For the most part Jagex is one of the best companies I know at listening and giving back to the players that pay their wages. For example, my ability to post my feelings here is a direct result of Jagex wanting to hear my opinion, and I know they will read it. This feedback is by no means an accusation or disapproval of Jagex. Who knows, maybe I'm just being a little self entitled. I have been a loyal member for about 8 years I think, and have been making monthly payments pretty much the ENTIRE time. I have been here for almost every update and have watched along with the Jagex team and community as this game has evolved. When I logged into my email this morning and realized that I had been set aside and made to wait to see one of the greatest updates to come, while many others enjoy the new beginning, I was a little unsettled in the pit of my stomach. It feels a little weird that I must pay additional money to join Jagex's gold or premium member squad, which feels a lot like favoritism over money rather than loyalty.

I understand though that Jagex is looking for specific things out of the beta such as a variety of feedback from players who love to explore (I haven't been this kind of player recently), and are also looking and technical specs of different machines. I also understand that this is a business, and the number one priority of a business is to make money, however that is best done.

I have watched all of the sneak peak videos and seen the screen shots, and I am very excited for the new content and can't wait to join the fun. Excellent job on that one Jagex! I give you my approval and loyalty for this update. I hope to have a first hand in more of the future updates, as I am on a low income at the moment and can't afford to pay an extra price.

Cheers to all that plan to rock the new world of Runescape and best of luck!

As of right now, I love the beta. The graphics are pretty awesome, especially the shadows. I also love the increase in draw distance. I was standing on White Wolf Mountain and I could see Falador Castle.

The camera turns very slowly, but I expect that will change as the beta progresses.

As a whole, I have very few complaints considering it's only the first day of the beta.

It may just be my computer, but beta is very slow. Camera rotation is very, I mean VERY slow. It takes about a minute to rotate 180 degrees. The graphics looked about the same to me, however the distance is noticeable. I didn't see the customization of the layout like I did in the BTS video. I'm sure this is because beta will be getting updates. Hopefully it is improved to work faster on computers that aren't the most current. I have a decent computer, I think.... and was expecting more responsiveness. The beta just launched though so I cannot complain too much. I'm excited to see what Jagex has to offer in the future for RS3.
Keep it up.
