At first I want to say that the increased view distance is truely amazing, a great improvement, and this is what I encountered so far:
I don't know if someone else has the same issue, but when typing my login pass-username, I noticed that the keypad of my pc, although it actually is in numlock, doesn't write the numbers. Ingame this does works, and it would be great if you could update that, just for the ease of fast login.
Next thing, I don't really like the black edge around all the inventory/bank items, although the world itself is very bright; and players do glow a bit too much.
Every dark item gets even more dark because of the edge, e.g. the net of the magic butterfly net doens't appear to be green anymore, but black instead. If you equip it, all colours are as supposed to be.
Camera turning with your arrows seems to be slower than in RS2, I've tested with my mouse middlebutton and it's not the lag because I am able to spin much faster. I am used to use my arrows, so it would be nice if that could be optimesed to normal RS speed.
Last thing, the water doesn't show up ingame, from rivers or seas. I see the fishing spots, or al the ground decorations at the buttom of the sea, and there is no water above it, it's a pretty weird sight; so i haven't been able to form an opinion about that.
I know it's only an early beta, but there's only one way to go, and that's upwards.
