Seems like jagex really are listening to their players as they said at the beggining of the year. They brought '07 for the old school players for the vets, getting rid of a TON of bots, got rid of gamblers, less SoF and Soloman's, and more of good updates such as these. Well done Jagex, so far so good! ;) Very good I'd say.

Maby great to develop:
Chatting with other players has always been very nice, but why not add a feature to call or speak to other players (using headset). This feature can be very usefull. Players can use it to communicate and players will play longer and stay longer member because of their social contacts. And it's also usefull during teamwork in wildy, killing monsters, and to help other people. Today we have Skype, facebook, twitter and more social networks and the amount of users is still growing. Why? Because of the social possibilities. It can result in more players, and longer play hours.

I love it to chat and talk to other people, so for me, I always missed something in RuneScape to communicate more with players and to have a better integrated social experience.

I think it can be done in HTML5.

If the goal is indeed to make more of a player involved feel might i suggest getting rid of the outdated click to move gameplay and put in a key controlled system, ofcourse keeping the same control system for those nostalgia driven few.

I'm hoping for some real world changes. Like Catacalysm did to WoW. I don't know what you mean by the players shape the world. I don't want a different looking world than someone else, nor do I want the mass choosing my world. I want Jagex to choose how everyone's world looks. Decide on whats best. Destruction, rebuilds, expansions, anything and everything could work. I'm hoping its not just the same game with better graphics. That would be pretty lame.

shaping the world refers to your choices, much like how different towns might act toward you for example. the followers of an opposing God of your choice may need a little more convincing to interact with them perhaps? As for better graphics, It will look like a whole new world as far as depth perception goes.

I don't think I've ever seen Mod Mark so excited about something on a BTS before, if anything that's a really good sign :)

Totally looking forward to this coming out, and definitely looking forward to the beta! Just wish it was now instead of later, lol.

I do have one question though. If we're using the HTML5 client, does that mean we don't need to use Java at all? Or does it still make use of Java? (Never been a huge fan of Java myself is why I ask)

Im hoping Mod Mark posts again to let us know what all is going to be changed and needed as wondering if its only the eoc that changing or both servers (eoc and 07) and will the chrome and html5 and java thing affect the both games or not.
