I've been playing since 2005, and I love EoC. I love the gameplay, I love the diversity, I love plotting my abilities, I love the action bar, I LOVE the content, and all in all, I love runescape. I thoroughly enjoyed the game in 07 as well, and I even started an account on the servers. But even though I enjoy both games, a lot, EoC is much better. After taking the time to really get used to it, and really get a hang of it, I realize that it is the superior game. The point of my response, is that people's opinion of RS varies. You can't call it a dead game, when there are thousands out there just like me, who love what RS has become, and what its becoming. This community is full of pessimists, such as yourself, and its really aggravating. Anyways, enjoy your game on 07, while the real game grows.

Cheers,
Keidios

There is no scam here.

All HTML5 really boils down to is Javascript APIs and browser native video/audio encoding. Google's browser Chrome just happens to currently be implementing more HTML5 features than other competing browsers. This is subject to change.

Months ago, Firefox could have been considered the "leading" browser to support HTML5 elements. And, surprisingly, Internet Explorer 10 already supports a good deal of HTML5.

The W3C (the organization that creates standards for web technologies like HTML) hasn't even finished creating the plan for an HTML5 standard. W3C doesn't plan to release the standards for a "stable" version of HTML5 until September of 2014. The next version HTML5.1 isn't scheduled for a "recommended stable" version until sometime in 2016.

Dismissing RS3 on the basis of how a few particular browsers are currently implementing HTML5 is hasty and an emotionally driven conclusion.

07 is the real game. EOC Is terrible, everything is over simplified, and way, too, easy.
How can you say it's better? SOF? Solomons? Pvp, and staking is dead, EOC is on a decline. The economy is shot, Compared to the 07 servers who haven't even been up for a month and a half, the economy is already, much MUCH better.

Majority of the people spend more of their time on 07, Jagex needs to see this, and focus on that. Not RS3. RS3 is staleborn... Not even here yet and it's already dead.

New HTML5 content sounds great, but what about some javascript injection on it? You can't do a secure game at all in HTML plataform. You add many walls to hackers but it never gonna be 100% secure...

While there are possibilities of code injection attacks with any programming language, perhaps you should consider the security vulnerabilities that have been exploited with Oracle Java in the first quarter of 2013 alone before concluding that Javascript leaves client data more vulnerable.
