They've repeatedly said that fossil (kudos is a better name) island is a long way off and it ties to the dragonkin so safe to say the project still exists! I believe they said they wouldn't start making new continents ( the eastern lands) until they finished the current lands. pop quests were just to get people interested again!

I get you're point but look on rs wikia we actually know number of things about Priffidinas(what I like to know is who came up with the spelling for this)!
We don't know how old it is, we don't know what is needed to reactive it, we don't know what the architectural style is, we don't know how big it was, we don't know what's in the library, we don't know what exactly Seren does, we don't know what the elves' history is.

That's a lot we don't know, not including information about Seren, her relationship with Guthix, her part in the god wars.

why am I argueing my point is that we're getting closer and closer to it's release! Jagex is always delaying stuff and not always for good reasons.So it's nice to see progress made on this one.Do you realize how long they've been promising us fossil island(kudos is still a better name)?

Man I cant wait for this update the graphics look so amazing my jaw just dropt wow I cant wait to see other updates with html5 graphics

The only change with HTML5 was the canvas element... WebGL is something different entierly, it's basically OpenGL ES 2.0 ported to browsers.. Newer games is written in OpenGL 3 or 4 which (since 3.0) doesn't (shouldn't) make use of the fixed function pipeline for rendering.

Still *his is great news, ive been playing with webGL myself, and coupled with websockets, webworkers and other neat new stuff in the javascript world it's shaping up to be very powerful!
