Why should people who choose to pay for their memberships in some other way than game cards be penalized by *** being able to get free outfits like this? It doesn't make sense. I have been a loyay paying memebr of rs for 6 years, and for the past 4 years have paid monthly for 6 accounts which I actively play. I have my accounts on auto pay so I never have to worry about subscriptions running out. Even assuming I could lay out the $25 for all my characters to have a gaeme card, why should I go through the inconvenience of having to stop my autopays, change it to the card for 3 months (which also makes me pay more for the memebrship than I currently have to) and then have to set up the auto pay again? Why should it matter how we pay? Loyal members should all be rewarded, no matter how they choose to pay. Why not put things like this in the Loyalty shop? Isn't that what it's supposed to be for? Yet you consistently offer soe of the best items ONLY to game card buyers. This is totally unfair, and very disappointing. Please rethink this process.

And the gross unfairness of the eoc version of Runescape continues unabated while more members are on Old School than are on eoc. I have had a monthly recurring membership since the first week I played the game in 2002. Where is MY free outfit????? Everything you do to grab more money is more and more sickening and OBVIOUS TO ANYONE. You have destroyed the hiscores, which are the main addicting element of this game. The Hiscores on Old School reflect the work people are actually doing, not their number of freakin' spins on your atrocious Squeal of Fortune (may it rot in hell.) You ignore people who have been members for over 10 years while you give extra goodies to pleyers who buy a card at Gamestop or wherever. I say ***** you and the mangy horse you rode in on.

"free"... Got me excited when the article title said free... I'm with Dakini I havn't had a recurring membership but I assure you I have been playing this game for 8 years and a lot of that time I spent being a member, some times I couldn't dish out the membership fee but still where is my free outfit? I played for 8 years and all vets have to show for it are a 5 year cape and a 10 year cape. I mean I'm not asking you to be like microsoft and send everyone an xbox 360 but a free item here and there for vets would be nice too like we have our holiday event items but you ruined my favorite one... the ring of egg.. Kind of disappointing all these people get free flashy items while us vets have to watch as you slowly destroy our beloved items also stop taking items out of my bank and deleting them, I put them in my bank for a reason and they shouldn't be removed. I should still have my valentine's day hearts because I put them in my bank but no, they're gone. I was going to finally use all of my hearts I saved up and they weren't in my bank...

I like how Jagex Staff blatantly continues to IGNORE their PAYING *USTOMERS about issues regarding having to pay EVEN MORE for what they claimed on the front page was FREE.

They are lying scumbags and selfish money-grubbing losers. How dare they do such a thing to us - The people who made them the effing MILLIONAIRES that they are today.

It makes me SICK. I cannot, to this day, understand why they don't even have the guts to at least give us some sort of response to our complaints, other than no response at all.

I, among others, am sick of being scammed and taken advantage of by these ignorant foreign A-Holes.

Stuff like this would NEVER be allowed to continue in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. There would be people picketing and protesting outside of thier headquarters if they were in America.

God, I miss the first 4 years of the game. When Runescape 2 wasn't run by every money-grubbing corporation wanting to cash-in on mmorpg games like this.

This game used to be run by different people. When Santa hats were released, they were free to all, no micro-transactions needed and no DECEPTION!
Same with pumkins/easter eggs/scythe/yo-yo/Phats/Marionettes/bunny ears/etc...

Then some D-Bag named Mark Gerhard stepped in, and with his mind on his money, and money on his mind, he DESTROYED what used to be an interesting, fun, playable, enjoyable, game and a great online experience, and turned it into what it is today - THE WORLD'S LARGEST AND MOST POPULAR INTERNET SCAM.

Thank you Mark Gerhard and whoever does his (your master's) bidding. Thank you for taking a game, and turning it into a money grubbing coporation. You JERKS.

Seven years into this game, and now I see it for what it has become. And you people don't even have the courage or basic human decency to tell us the truth to our faces.

MMORPG used to stand for Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games.

It now stands for: My Money's On Role Playing Games.
