Hopefully, it will stop the ongoing disputes related to version 2006****, armour update and EOC, as a 2007-server will solve most of these problems. Some veteran players might return, and it doesn't stop development of the main game. Thus it gives us the possibility to co-exist, instead of ruining constructive disputes with pointless comments as, "I hate EOC", "roll back to 2006", "armour update ruined RS" and "commercial games need to develop - take a whine biscuit and get over it".

@Manks: A "No, I don't want it!" option makes no sense. First, if you don't wan'* to play it, don't pay and play for it. Second, this is a serious matter for a big minority of veteran players. It wouldn't be fair, that non-supportive players had the option to turn the offer down, and thus enlarging the canyon between old schoolers and hipsters. The whole point of a 2007-server is a generous peace-offer to those, who feel Jagex don't listen to that part of the community.

This is the utmost active thread I've ever commented on in any forum I've ever been on in my entire life LMFAO (Excluding YouTube, ofc, they remain undefeated). If you can't be a pencil to write anyone's happiness, then try to be a nice eraser to remove someone's sadness.
