I'm quite unsure as to why some people are declining to vote. You could vote and simply not play - it is NOT going to affect your experience on the main game AT ALL, Mod MMG/Mark even outlined this in the thread. They've stated that a NEW development team will be managing the 2007 version.

As for the people saying "I don't want my membership £ going to stuff I don't want" - if they revive the 2007 RuneScape, I am pretty sure advertising will cover the majority of the costs (If it reaches a free-to-play threshold).

Another thing - while I understand that the cost of development staff and servers will have to be covered, I do feel that $15/mo is quite a lot for the minimum bracket. It also interests me that a British company is using the currency of the United States as it's default.

I also have a question which I saw asked earlier but I am unsure whether it has been responded to or not - how will rares be distributed, if at all? I'm assuming it will be in the same manner as it was in the beginning of RS2. 199 Murph

I am so happy to see you actually taking time to answer questions through the thread. You know this entire thing will boost Jagex's reputation A TON.

And here I was, having just cancelled my membership that was ending on February 25... But now if this reaches 500k-750k+ votes I will be renewing said membership.

I cannot wait to experience RuneScape in a completely different way than I ever had. I started in February 2003 in RSC, but I never experienced RuneScape as it was just starting. Fresh stats, the races to be the first to... rune ore/armor, higher slayer monsters... It will be a thrill!

Thank you again, and I am also very glad to see this vote will be up for two whole weeks. Hopefully that is plenty of time to get an accurate read on the interest in this change. If the vote reached... 749,500 or a number right below one of the tiers, would you consider just rounding it up?

i see alot of post about people saying "oh but the graphics will be so bad!" when i play now which isnt alot because rs is ruined in my opinion..i play on the lowest possible graphics..just because thats the last closest thing left to old rs we have. oh and let the phat,santas and crackers go for now..how about we just start playin the new servers then see how it goes?

@ILoveurBeard It's funny because I could have sworn non-members could vote on the Free trade/Wild poll. Imagine if that was a P2P-only poll? Surely the number of votes would have been significantly less because I remember voting for that on multiple accounts and know many other people did as well.

I think that is why some people feel like this one was setup for failure.
