I don't get why anyone is complaining about how you start anew in the 2007 server. I think that'll be the most fun, because you can see the economies and hiscores develop from the start! You get to start together with the rest, so you even have a chance at a top rank :) .


But those are merely dreams, because this ain't gonna happen. There'd need to be 250k+ votes for the server to be a success, and the 250k people that actually want this aren't member.

Whether people are for or against it the only way to see what happens is for all members to vote yes. It's extremely unfair that f2p cannot vote on this and Jagex should do something about this.

It's no skin off anyone elses nose if the 07 server becomes a reality. If by some miracle there are enough votes to get it so that we don't have to pay then Jagex will find it to be very popular and it will bring a lot more vets back to paying for membership.
If we only achieve enough votes for a server we're expected to pay extra for then Jagex will find they have once again shot themselves in the foot with their greed and will find that we're not willing to pay through the nose for it.

if you really want to give us what we want, do the server, make it good, look after it without charging us on top of the membership fees we already pay and you will find your memberships rising dramatically.

I don't know what chimp you hired to conduct the business end of this company but as with all businesses, keeping the customers happy is what keeps a business happy, not trying to come up with different scams for one off injections of cash.

When will you learn Jagex?.........

The truth is Jagex could easily Roll back the game to NOV 19 2012 But they choose not to. JAGEX Could of provided us with Pre Eoc Servers to play on just like they did when they switched over from Runescape classic

The truth is this!

Insight Venture Partner's & Jagex went this route to maximize their profiteering by using the EOC to destroy as many 5 Dollar Grandfathered veteran membership rates as they could

If IVP & Jagex had provided us with some Pre Eoc game servers to play on like they did when switching over from Runescape classic then none of our family accounts would need to re-up our memberships for we would never have cancelled our subscriptions

Simply put, it is business. Jagex is a business that needs sufficient funds to run comfortably and looking at it from a financial point of view, it is based around the revenue they can gain (Not a bad thing, businesses need profit). But remember, the votes haven't started yet and it is still a possibility for the 750,000 goal to be reached.

Just wondering if someone can post in the FAQ section up front what sort of things were and weren't in the game in 2007.
This was after I started - but I was low level at the time, and didn't have access to all the content at the time.
I know if I went back to 2007 version I would miss:
- the money bag in the inventory, I like having that 1 extra inventory space
- my toolbelt for things like tinderboxes, moulds etc, again frees up inventory for nicer stuff
- not being easily able to equip gear while still in the banking screen
- not having my explorer ring, ardy cloak etc from the tasks
- no menagerie in my house for my pets
- I wouldn't be able to collect strange rocks any more
- no elite treasure trails
- no jadinkos - so no farming boost potions
- no dungeoneering - so no dungeoneering rewards
- no summoning
- not having a resizeable game window
It's not the major updates - it's the minor things I would miss.

While I enjoyed my early years of Runescape - there have been lots of updates I have liked and would miss if they were gone. I will be one of the many players who remember it all fondly, but am not interested in replaying.

Are you able to put a "no" option on the poll so we can have a say too?
