I am surprised you have made this announcement, though I doubt i'll be voting for 2007 Runescape to return because I find it very hard to believe it won't take away from the current Runescape's development.
If enough people want it though it's a good thing that you've done this
I have one worry, what if people vote thinking there's going to be 500k+ votes for the return of 2007 Runescape, then realize they're going to have to pay additional fees and change their mind about going back to it. I think that's very likely to happen to a significant amount of voters to be honest.

A good move. Im very intrigued to see the outcome of this poll.
Nevertheless, I still think you should use the experience gained from all this to better the life game too.
EoC is, at best, still in beta-state, and the combat system used is not only a main mechanic of the game itself, it also has a major part in binding your community to the game. Therefore it needs a good balance between unique features to set the game apart from the competition and mainstream demands. Also it should be linked to the overall game in my opinion, especially as it comes to the interaction of skills, economy and, of course, community aspects.
Other than that, please get rid of bots and gambling within a sensefull timeframe, it really took you long enough already (just to not forget having it said)
