Dear friends,
I would like to share some information that I have picked up reading all these posts. First of all I don't believe more than 10% of the people who are hurray'ing actually know what the 2007 server looks like.
Ok..., I understand we all want some kind of Runescape server prior to the EoC, but not the 2006/7 one's I suppose? Do we not want dragon claws and godswords? All these items of which we think will be in the 2007 server won't be. Also I doubt that any one of us would enjoy to start over from scratch as Mark Gerhard has mentioned. I think this is total nonsence. Jagex must find a way that our current accounts/bank's can be logged into both the servers. Something like the EoC Demo where one could log in the EoC demo and when they log out and log back in to a regular world nothing has changed. Now what I'm trying to say is that no body will start a new account and play the account they currently play on the 'main server'.
My solution:
First of make it so that we can log in to both the servers with the same account and stats. Skills such as dungeoneering will just be noticeable and in use on the main server. It will just be left out of the old school server. Also.. say I lose 1m on the old server. It will be gone in both servers. Items such as divine's, torva's, tetsu and others will only be seen and usable on the main server. So the bank will look kind of different on both servers, but not drastically. I find this a much easier way to please the community instead of letting us start over from scratch. I doubt the fact that anybody would do that.
Guys if you feel the same as I do. Please reply on this thread in order for Jagex to notice this post. Hopefully they will and will do something with this information.
Yours faithfully,
Zane
