I might actually cry, I'm so happy. The vote is ironically being held on my *****day and my membership had just expired and I canh onestly say I was NOT planning on renewing. Now I will gladly pay the month long fee to put in my vote, and don't worry, I'm going to be asking all my friends to do the same. Thank you so much jagex! *goosebumps*

I will be voting no.

As a very old school player, 2006 and 2007 content updates actually got me to quit until 2010 or 2011. The people looking back on the game are not looking back on it fondly because it's better, they are looking back on it with nostalgia filled glasses. I have the same views of 2003 and 2004, and for my own personal reasons. Even if the restoration would target that time frame, I would still vote no.

Jagex would have to use substantial resources on this project as they made clear. These resources will likely be a distraction from the main game content. Additionally, I do not see the game maintaining a long term following, much like Jagex having the old RS1 (RSC) servers. After awhile, most would likely lose interest in it.

Furthermore, it would also split the game's player base. This is a very bad thing because the servers would not be as populated for the current version of the game.

Logically it may be a short term success, but when you develop MMOs you have to look at long term potential, as short term is not the way these games work.

I do like most of the updates but wish I had the option of enabling eoc for slayer or old school combat with weapon specials, aggressive monsters and randoms, the same way we can toggle profanity and retaliate but only make it for slayer. I still have the habit of clicking my herbs to clean them then remember I don't have too. Sure 2007 was grand but that is when trade limits were introduced players lost the wildy Revs could multi attack. Most players forget about those downsides not to mention they could lose hd. The only real changes are those in combat, I have played since 2004 been through the changes like most players. Most people are whining to return the game to when so many left but I won't pay an extra 15 a month not Pound USD or CND to do so with these increases they will actually drive players away. Like it or don't if it ain't broke don't fix it customize it.

For everyone that says "omg add godwars" God warz is what killed the game for me, ags hitting 75s... at that point i started to play less and less, then claws, then EoC, it was not that game that i started to play back in 2005. Now they hand out exp every day like HERE get an easy 99 with faster training ways and Free exp!!! Forget about the people who earned it...(im a level 126, before the first double exp lvl115~118 i think,) people now a days dont know what its like to have to train and grind monsters. I say yes to no more bull pking and 1 hit kills, and now they every wep has like 15 specs..i want the runescape i love back! i will buy membership the day this launches, maybe ever for a vote if its needed since they said the counter will be live. Yes to the OLD!!!! Let runescape gain back its vets and show people how it was done in our day, in our time, We shale rise again!!!

P.S. ancients range pure here i come!!!
