I also have no problem paying the membership fee for 50k. I'll play regardless of cost.

Also to the idiot trolls saying 2007 was no wildy, stfu. That just proves you didn't even play in 2007, lol.

December was no wildy, this is done in August.

IIRC bots were very bad back then - much worse than now. If it's done, I don't see how you can allow free play. I also don't see how you can release it without trade limits. E: Drop trading and the wildy was where the d**n gold buyers got their purchases.

It's a nice sentiment when you say (sincerely) that it won't affect the current game. But stuff happens and I would bet (confidently) that the current game *will* be affected. I also remember that you guys were very absorbed with combating the bots back then - to the exclusion of a lot. I sense that you guys have forgotten.

If you could guarantee that bots will not be an issue then I would be all for it - but you can't make that guarantee.

And to you players -- we players absolutely hated the bots and how they ruined the game. Even if I have my time-line skewed bots were a contstant concern.

Most importantly: Five years ago is a long time in tech terms. As much as RS has gained in this time in technological advances; so have the botters. Releasing a game with 5 year old tech will enable modern botters to have their complete way with the game.

I like the idea - a LOT if not for the botters. But I'm afraid there will be a gigaton of problems.

I have to agree with the others who want a "NO" option in the poll. :(

Please include a "NO" option in the poll.

I've seen it said a few times now, about bringing back 2008/09' servers.

Personally, I would rather see that too then 2007. From what I understand though from the Home Page News Update was that nothing past October 2007 was completely backed up?

Nonetheless, I would be thrilled with anything pre-Evolution of Combat, even if it means stepping back 6 years.

Also, who would ever want a "No" option in the polls? That's quite arrogant to request such a thing. Had there been a poll for whether or not to introduce the Evolution of Combat or not, if there was a "No" option, I still would not have clicked it even though I didn't like the sound of it from the beginning.

But why not 2011? A lot of players once seeing they can't pull out claws and rush other people will quit 2007. And why no stat transfer sorta thing? People won't want to level their stats from 1 again to play old rs... itll probably die down before u made profit from it.

As any game develops, it is obvious that there will be those which will be happy with the evolution of the game and those who will not. It is very good to see that Jagex is trying to make as many of their players happy as possible. I myself prefer a game that changes over time and like to think I'm fairly adaptable to change, however looking through the past once in a while is quite pleasant. The past however should not hold back the future and most definitely hope that future updates to "main" Runescape are not slowed down by this and that "main" Runescape remains a priority.
