I hope the two games can coexist. Classic and RS2 coexist perfectly, and classic is a place where people go when they want a break from RS2. If 07 and current servers can have a similar relationship, where 07 servers are a nice little distraction from the general grind then that would be great. I would definitely not want 07 servers to detract from the quality of the main game, and although Jagex have promised that it wouldn't, I've learned from recent years that you simply cannot trust the word of Jagex.
What worries me is the line that "we wouldn't ever add micro-payments" comes under the 750K bracket. Does this mean if the vote count is somewhere between 50k and 750k that Jagex will add microtransactions to 07 servers? Disgusting. They can't stop adding microtransactions to each and every part of the game. I wouldn't be surprised if SOF popped up in classic. Jagex would rather see half the player-base quit as long as the remaining half made up for the losses in microtransactions because they simply don't care for the player base, they don't care for the integrity of an even playing field... they care for money and money only.
If these new servers can exist without being detrimental to the main game, without dividing the community AND without becoming a harbor for more microtransactions, then I fully support their addition.
However, I can see it going horribly wrong. This is Jagex we're talking about...
