The high point of playing RS was the end of 2006. Unfortunately, I am very jaded and believe this is just a ploy for Jagex to make truckloads of dosh with very little effort. That isn't to say I don't hope it happens, but with these extremely high vote goals in action, it seems very unlikely.

I don't think that reaching 750k votes or even 500k votes will be possible, although there are a lot of those who would play on the old servers, there are also many that prefer the current or just wont consider it worth the hassle to start from scratch. 50k on the other hand should not be a problem and with enough struggle perhaps even 250k is possible.. although highly doubtful.

I just made a thread of questions but apparently you are locking threads apart from posts here so here are my questions...
Why make it limited to members only? Most of the players who want this update have already cancelled membership (you have no reason to bring it back if the people who *ant it are currently paying anyway...)
I understand that this stops people from making multiple accounts and voting, but can't you just make the vote limits higher??
Also, for the 50,000 votes, is it $20/month or $15/month... I highly doubt most people would pay 20, and I don't see that many people paying 15, but since its limited to members only the only vote count we will likely reach is 50,000
That being said I am very excited and willing to pay. ..
Also someone suggested letting just free players that played since 07 vote. I think that is a good idea but I'd change it to free players that have played since pre=EOC. That way people who made new accounts to vote can't, but you can still get a real idea of how many people are willing to pay for this.
