I have a some concerns about this and a question maybe 2.

Those of us that have been around long enough to understand the implications and enjoyment of this particular prospect should question it.

Why? You ask - The same reasons that plague the game now.
Gold Farmers and stolen emthods of payment.
We also know all to well the growing pains and what seems to be a lack of information and again what seems to be a lack of banning those that bot including high leveled players and thier throw-away accounts to those that gold farm.

I know that having a substainal amount for a memebership for very low votes is your intention of keeping the botting and gold farming from happening.
But from where I stand it is exactly those that can afford a $15 monthly membership that will bot and gold farm.
Something that you at Jagex have said you are trying to combat...and without a antibot software on the lower end of bringing back the Old RS I am afraid that you will have suceeded in nothing more than a slippery slope.

If this does happen are you at Jagex prepared to pull the plug on this?

Lets say that there are enough votes that the Old RS is free and that the program will have the anti bot software maintained....
You will still have the problem that you do now it's just that it will move from EOC to Old RS.

Either way you have the problem of botting and gold farming...
And because of this are you at Jagex prepared to start perm banning accounts as well IP's?

Yes you have listened to the players that want the old RS back and at times I wish it was back; but many at Jagex have stated that we may be looking at it through Rose colored glasses.....
Besides digging through the old data have you at Jagex; gathered everyone together at your offices and throughly dicussed the consequences and the possibilty of a bad outcome?

Your thoughts on this before we make chose to vote or not vote would greatly be appreciated.

Come on Jagex are you trying to use your community in every single thing you do, I mean why do you have to make the requirements for f2p servers so high, and you probably know it will not happen. Give us what we loved, not only PART of it!!!!!!

Personaly i think that it may be a good idea as it will bring back many ex-players.

However this is the potential problams and solutions:

Prices will become unstable and not correct for its potential***** bandos was soloable in "07".) The solution is make things non transferable from old and new runescape also make it so there is no exchange system in the "07" system or remove the grand exchange (if it was around then.)

In conclusion to prevent price incorrection is to; make it so there is no grand exchange in the old version/ also make it so things can not be taken into the old game from the current one and also the current one into the "07" version.


Secondly i think it is disguisting that you plan on implimenting a price increase on membership as obviously when you think about it nomatter how much surport you get it will cost the same anyway also if i don't go on the old version will i still be expected to pay more then what i pay anyway!?

In conclusion to prevent this dont make it cost more to go on the describable rsps and if you do make it an optional payment; as we all know there Are f2p world and members worlds that are silver and gold stars.
My implement in how to resolve this is:

Free to play = bronze star
Standard members = silver star
Premium member (+"07" ) = gold star

Also to make the price less i sugest more adverts in f2p resulting in the removal of the 3 star system as i think being a member is starting to lose its honour and privilages and imposing extra adverts into the free to play community will make paying members - the founders, players and funders of this great game once again worth it at no extra free!

To justify i think more adverts in f2p worlds to make "07scape" avalable to all existing paying members at a charge of no additional fee! Or use the 3 star system so people who only want to play current runescape can without havimg to pay extra for a facility they do not want to pay for! Mike
