It seems the general consensus is "ANYTHING BUT THE EOC". I agree, but 2007 really is lame considering you have to start over from level 3. I've already played in 2007 and leveled up since I've played on many accounts since 2005, I don't feel like training all my skills all over again. I also don't like the EoC, so for me it's really a lose/lose situation. I should have known not to buy more membership when I was considering quitting, but I thought Jagex would have some common sense and undo EoC/give pre-EoC servers. I was wrong, unfortunately.

man i actually agree with you...

I would love to play pre-eoc with my account i have now...

But if their is no other way i will start fresh on 2007 servers... i hope they bring out enough servers because there is limited ways to train back then and with all these people rushing to train its going to be impossible to train in the first place.

I LOVE THE IDEA OF 2007 server, and I am willing to renew my membership just to vote,
But the idea of having to start over is so stupid
ITS GOING TO LEAD TO MORE PEOPLE BOTTING, because who likes the idea of starting over? I believe it's just going to make more people bot to get their old stats and some gold

Although 2007 server is a great idea, starting over is going to be a HUGE problem.

But it still has my vote!!!

Will we get to keep our items and stats and bring them to old RuneScape?

If not, please make this an option so we don't have to play 2007 as noobs!!

I've got a question.

Some people are saying "be careful what you wish for" or words to that effect. Someone please explain to me how exactly a 2007 server could go wrong?

All the people who quit or became disillusioned with the game after the series of (and let's be honest here) terrible updates from December 2007 onwards get a chance to return to the game of their childhood or whatever. Those of you who don't care about 2007 servers don't have to participate. It's that simple. I really don't see the logic behind all the doomsaying and "THIS WILL SPLIT THE COMMUNITY!!" and "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR!!" comments.

I don't recall anything from 2007 (or 2006) that I am just dieing to have back. 2007 was a fun year for me in RS, but bringing it back is like bringing back a 69 mustang into full products, at first it's a huge hit, then people find out it gets bad fuel mileage, no power brakes, no air bags, and is rather uneventful.

I see that this is before the release of the GE. I personally loved the GE update, and the Bounty Hunter wilderness update. I assume there won't be a chance of the GE being added into the game. Sadly, spamming "Buying D bones" for hours on end is un-appeasing, and the thing I disliked most about RS in my younger days. I am one for the older server, but I dont know if I want to go through that mess all over again, espeacially since I have made so much progress on this account (all pre EoC, I am not a huge fan of it yet, but am learning to take it.)

Well you've given these players what they asked for "Old Runescape". I read the first 30 pages of these thread, but most of it seemed the same, so posted here now.

Good job on making the "poll" members only. If players are serious about this proposal then they can show *heir commitment by putting their money where their mouth is. Also good that you are not allowing trial/f2p vote, as we all know that this would bring forth a torrent of "voting bots", as what happened with free trade/wildy vote.

I think it's fair that everyone starts on the same level, gives an even base for everyone. I may even consider having an account on a 2007 server, just to supply the pkers with items as a skiller lol. Was what I did back then. Don't allow imports of accounts from 2013, as most of these players will have come from a ps, and there they have to start from lvl3. Shouldn't make any difference to be honest.

I think the voting targets are realistic, I have read that a ps had 500k registered members. 250k+ votes will bring the price of a 2007 server down to an additional $5 a month, and if the 500K+ goal is met, then no extra membership fee. Considering the amount of players posting about this over the last several months, 250k is doable goal. I doubt you will get a "jaw dropping 1.4 million votes", but let's hope the vote can gain 500k+ votes, so additional costs are not involved for players .

I will probably vote "yes" to help these players out, but unsure if I'll play 2007 servers.

"The poll will be live on the website this Friday 15th February for two weeks."
