I think this sounds like a good idea. however as much as i love the old runescape. i think having to start from scratch would not be the best move. would it not be possible for us to have the same levels on each game? so effectively we are just moving worlds depending on which version that we wished to go on.

This is outrageous, You compared it to a poll that received votes from 1,400,000 free players, and now you want 750k members to vote when there are only 25k online at any given time?

You're on the right end. Jagex makes millions of this.
Just pretend. 50,000 people voting "yes" on this poll, that 50,000 people are all subscribed to Runescape. Forget the profit of that.

Those 50,000 people all are going to pay that 15 dollar per month, that's what they've voted for. Say that they play on that server for 6 months, that's 50,000 (people) x 15 (dollar) x 6 (months) = 4,500,000 dollar.
I don't think it costs 4,500,000 dollar to host a server for 6 months. That's +/- 4,400,000 dollar profit for Jagex.
