I created my account sometime in 2006 and quit over a year ago. I had many fun times, especially before 2010, and I believe that creating a new 2007 server is an incredible opportunity for Jagex to acquire more players, both old and new, and earn a great sum of money.
However, the Old School vote is not representative at all of the true demographic of potential 2007scape players. Think about how many people would be playing if the game was made free (with ads of course)? Not only current runescape members will be playing the 2007 server, in fact, most of the current members are satisfied with modern runescape and are less likely to play than an old player who is coming back because of the appeal of the 2007 servers.
And how do you expect there to be a potential of 750k voters that are members? I doubt that there are even many more members than that number. At this rate, the vote will barely get past 250k votes.
To get a better demographic and idea of who is interested in playing on these 2007 servers, the vote should include free players also, with a requirement though so that fake accounts are not made to spam the vote. A requirement of total level 1000 should suffice in guaranteeing a legitimate vote.
