new york already wrote the obits for the game a year ago. they didnt expect it to last. this is a last ditch effort to prove them wrong. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

A good point; but they lost far more customers far more quickly after EOC. From a point prior to that update at least they have a chance to staunch the outflow. I honestly think the game was good in 2012 - granted Jagex are under new management and have to nickel-and-dime it more feverishly. They at least had a chance. I really don't think they will survive like this, and it is interesting that I don't give a damn because they have been so blind and arrogant.

IF there are enough players on those servers, they will add what we want of those in the years to come.

better to lose those and lose sof and eoc. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

actually no. a lot of us bought 3 and 6 months membership before sof came out. that meant that we still had membership when eoc came out, but lost it right afterwords. They didnt lose people for eoc as much as you think and more for sof than you realise. frankly my dear, I couldn't give a dam. never had a river to build one on.

It's silly to have one thread to discuss all the issues relating to 2007 servers.

I see you opened a whole forum to members, but for some reason you locked free players out from posting on it.

I hope that by the time someone reads this post that will be fixed so even f2p players can post on it.

Yes, the demographics are complex. I paid monthly so stopped asap. I think when the 6-month membs expire there will be another cliff. I can't imagine anybody much playing the game anymore, to be honest with you.

They said wildy would never come back. It did. They said they'd never introduce the ability to pay for in game advantages. They did. They said old servers wouldn't and -couldn't- come back. They are.

They also said that SoF made them lots of money so they could do all this new development. Do you really think they'll be able to resist introducing micro transactions of -some- kind?

Only time will tell O_o

Just a couple questions. Firstly, if I'm playing in the RS'07 server, will I still have the same friends as I had from the RS'13 servers? I don't want to have to re-add all of my friends, nor lose ability to talk with all my really good friends on this game if I start playing on RS'07 for good. Secondly, are you putting in good updates (over time, albeit) like the addition of Lunar/Ancient spell-books, certain quests along with their rewards, and GWD?

PS: PLEASE DON'T PUT IN CURSE PRAYERS OR EXTREMES/OVERLOADS, THEY RUINED THE COMBAT SYSTEM BEFORE THE EOC MADE IT WORSE.
